Do you ever make your villagers wear certain clothes?

So I bought a pink tank for Diana and mailed it to her in hopes that she would wear it, and bam. Perfection.
Do you ever send any of your villagers clothes in hopes that they will wear them? Even if you don't, what clothes do you think would look good on particular villagers?

I sent the scale-armor suit to all the male villagers in my old town. Most wore them and Apollo put it in his house as a decoration. I didn't like that. In my new town I made some different colored garbs and they actually look pretty nice on the villagers.

Oh, definitely. I've given Ribbot a tin shirt, Fuchsia a groovy tank, Gala a pink tank, Julian a rainbow tank, Merengue a strawberry tee (I know it's clich? but she looks great in it), Peanut a dreamy tee, etc. I usually like the starting shirts for the villagers, but occasionally I'll come across an item of clothing that just looks like it was made for a specific villager.

Most of the shirts are really ugly, so I usually want them to wear my own designs xD Buut sometimes I send Francine the kids smock, cause she looks totally adorable wearing it c:

I almost always control their shirts because the ones they pick are usually terrible~ I have Molly wearing the flight crew shirt, Tangy wears the citrus shirt, right now Mitzi is in a yellow shirt that I forget the name of, and I have sent almost everyone else their current shirt~

Nah, sometimes they look bad, but as long as their comfortable I don't really care!

I've tried before, but it didn't really work haha... I tried sending Jacques a shirt to wear because he was wearing that one ugly bird design but all he did was put it in his house ._.

I like to have all my villagers in either tie/pocket protector outfit, school uniform, or firemans uniform.

I made hoodies. Villager inspired hoodies. Most I have displayed at the sisters and the majority of my villagers are wearing them. Marshal and stitches are wearing Francine, static and fuchsia are wearing genji, Chrissy is wearing stitches, and bam is wearing peanut. The hoods all look like the villager as well

Chiefy's been in my town since January, and the whole time, he's worn a mint gingham shirt. I finally got sick of it and sent him a bunch of red-bar shirts last night. I first tried to get him to ping me while holding them, but he just took them and wouldn't put them on. But, he's in it now. Now, I am thinking of getting Phoebe out of that ridiculous frog shirt she's been in almost as long.

I could not get Gaston out of a girl's tank top for like- a week. And not "girl" as in "oh, it's pink", but "girl" as in "beaded lace tank top".

I'm all for self-expression, but I also don't want my villagers looking completely insane.

Yes! I like their original shirts sometimes but man. I'm having problems still. At some point 6 of my villagers were in the green zap suit. It was a mess. I've mailed them their original shirts but some are really stubborn. :<

I think that once I find clothes that I think would look cute on them, I'll change it but you have to order 5 of the same one and mail it to them and it's a pain. I'm also trying to get their furniture changed which is really easy but if you change their shirt, they'll always display one in their house. Very frustrating...especially when I just want Zucker back into his Flan Tank but it's unorderable. ;__;

I tried a few times, but in the end I gave up because they kept changing out of them later anyway. For my horror town, I need to make sure Lucky stays in his bandage top thingy though.
