Do You Ever Have Second Thoughts on Your Island Name?

I feel like i should have maybe used a diff name in a diff language but at the same time Tanukitomo (my island) makes sense to me...
Tanuki bc Tom Nook RUNS THIS MF SHOW and "tomo" for part of the word "friend" in Japanese. I don't wanna restart the island AGAIN but I wish we could get a rename option for those who wish to do so... do any of you ever have second thoughts?

and should I change my island name AGAIN pls someone im on impulse here

I literally consider giving it a name in another language sometimes but then i think about it and im like no wait Japan is also an island so I might buy an international copy to correlate the names (I can't read Japanese so that's a no)... I don't wanna restart AGAIN

Not me, but I have several friends who named their island versions of Coronavirus, like Corona, Covid-19, quarantina, things like that who absolutely hate it. One of them recently restarted.

i wouldn’t restart! it’s easy to forget your town name since the villagers barely mention it in dialogue. i suppose it’s easy to forget when you like the name though. it probably stands out if you actively dislike it

It's not that I dislike it... i just feel like I have too many other, better options yk? I might cop an international version for a name in another language so it flows tbh
