i literally see nothing wrong with it. it's a game. the accomplishments are usually about collecting things, and obviously collectors don't care about how they obtain their items, they just have to obtain them (and trading is very common among collectors). now cheating is a bit different imo (it doesn't feel as satisfying when you get what you want this way), but trading here seems absolutely normal to me.
Nope! I see the trades and shops as just another portion of the game, and in terms of tbt for igb, it just feels like a currency exchange you'd have at a kiosk!
I feel bad sometimes, especially when it's stuff I know I can get myself if I had a bit more patience. When it's a lot harder stuff - like, some towns have certain furniture sets more commonly and others less commonly, and I always seem toi have the luck of deciding the set I want is one of those less common ones. In the rare case that it is the common one (like the astro set in my last town) I do feel bad because if I gave it enough time I could earn everything via the Nooklings if I just waited it out. The harder sets to find I'm not so iffy about because for the love of everything good in this world just give me a cabin chair Timmy PLEASE
I feel guilty about buying bells, but not about anything else, honestly. If Nintendo makes it basically impossible for me to get in-game - the WA cards were never on sale where I live, for example - then I really don't care about having to buy it, or how the person I'm getting it from got it, for that matter. And with bells, the gold badge is set way too high to get through normal play. With the update, it's obtainable through selling your town, but there was no way I would do that just to get that last badge.
As for buying furniture, that's supposed to be part of the game, anyway. I remember playing Wild World with my friend, we switched games for a bit to look through each other's catalogs and figure out what we wanted from them.
only for in-game bells. i''m like "i should really stop and do my own stuff." and literally two attoseconds later, i'm like "10 tbt means i get tons of bells, right?" and so, the cycle continues.
i feel so guilty when i buy in game bells because i feel like i cheated . but furniture, especially RV stuff i don’t mind because i don’t have a way of getting them when others do.
Tbh a little because I should have earned the money myself and waited longer for items to appear
But if I didn’t do that i probably wouldn’t be playing right now xD
Too much effort catching bugs for hours I’d get tired of it ;;
I have zero issues with this. The game was designed with a feature that lets us connect to the internet and meet up with friends, so I'm pretty sure this trading is exactly what the developers also wanted to enable with that function. I'm happy I get to find some items I still need (or never even heard of!) through this forum, and I'm also happy to be able to help others out on their quests. Especially the new RV items can be hard to get otherwise since the cards are almost unable to be found in stores now and you'd need to buy a whole bunch of packs if you want to complete the set of 50.
