Do you ever care about Tier List.

Hello.
This is a question i was making to myself if Animal Crossing. New Leaf Players ever care about the popularity of his neighbors. I'm not talking about recently but in any time you have the game.

Let's make this a confession thread, ha. I have to admit it, at first to many years ago i used to look at that when i want to get a neighbor but the i just realize that by the end, it's all about to have the Villagers you want, doesn't matter Tier 1 or Tier 5.

What about you, do you ever care about that?

not really. I just like the characters I like, regardless of their tier. I have some t1's and 2's I adore, and 3's, 4's, and 5's I love just as much.

Honestly I don't think anyone really cares how popular their dreamies are. They just like the cutest villagers, and lots of people like the cutest villagers so ergo; the cutest villagers are the most popular. That's just my opinion though so ?\_(ツ)_/?

I really don't give a darn about tiers. ^^
I have to admit some of my favourites are tier one, but that's not because they are tier one.
It's simple statistics really, the tier list is based on which villagers are most liked so you are more likely to like those.

Nope! I just go based off of looks and house appearance since my town is more of a fluffy, kawaii themed so pink, innocent looking villagers is my to-go-to right now

I looked at the "tier" nonsense a long time ago due to yet another thread about it and quickly dismissed it since I like what I like and no artificial popularity contest will convince me otherwise.

When picking my dreamies or villagers I like, I don't care about tier lists. If I like the design, then I like it. No tier list is going to change my mind. Same as if I find a villager ugly, I'd still not care if it's a tier 1 super popular animal. It just so happens that most of my dreamies are on either tier 1 or 2. I didn't mean for it to be that way, I guess I just have the same tastes as the majority. Tier lists were used as guides for pricing villagers back when it was much much harder to acquire the really popular ones that everybody wanted, since they either had to be cycled, or hacked. Now that we have amiibo cards, the tier list is kind of obsolete. It's just too easy to get them. So I think that it's useless to really care about tier lists.

I don't care about the tiers, I used to use it as a reference when I had a cycling thread, but then I made my cycling thread free back when I had it! For me in my towns it doesnt matter if my villagers are tier 1 or tier 5 as long as I like them it doesnt really matter to me!

Nope! To be honest, it shouldn't have existed in the first place.

I know they're people who genuinely like the tier ones...but there's others (aka the wrong people) out there who thinks they just have to have them just because. I seen it myself..and calling any villager in tier 5 ugly. (I've seen that too)

I care... in the 'popularity effects the cost of the Amiibo cards I want' kind of way. I chose my dreamies based off the wiki, not a tier list, and I'm happier that way. But dang, way too many of my tastes are in line with others D:

Same. A few of my dreamies were costly but I got lucky with those. But other than that, I don't care about the tier lists except just for curiousity about who is generally well-liked by the community.

Not particularly for my own town's. I like who I like, and it was fun to look at when I first joined. It also helped when I had a cycling thread and there was some supply and demand to random villager cycling. Nowadays I don't think it means anything.

I think it's not really worth all the trouble to make a new tier list honestly, amiibo cards make villagers sooo much easier to obtain and most people just charge a flat rate now anyway

Nope! I just go by with what villagers I like, regardless of their popularity.

Never cared for the list, but was interested to see which villagers were liked by most. In my town, I just have who I like.

I used to cycle villagers to get them because I was curious as to why they are popular and see if I'd like them. My villagers right now aren't in a proper tier list though
