I used to be an absolute sailor at times so I've been trying to get better at watching my mouth the past couple years. Old habits die hard though.

I never swear but I picked once in a blue moon (super rarely). I really don't like swearing in my opinion. It makes me uncomfortable. When I see a swear word on a book I'm reading in school like The Catcher In The Rye. It has too many swear words and it's overwhelming. Anyways, I say, gosh dang it, goshdarn, shoot, heck, etc to replace the swear words since I'm family-friendly and not get in trouble by my parents and teachers in school.

Not out loud unless I’m feeling strong emotions… but in my mind I tend to a lot XD

I grew up very religious/sheltered, my parents controlled a lot of what i did/said which in turned caused me to struggle with expressing myself/my emotions. I would get in trouble for saying things like “dang” or “crap” as a TEENAGER like WHY ?!?!?

Now as an adult, I curse all the time. 🤭 happy, mad, sad, excited, it’s so freeing using whatever words i want. I don’t see the point in limiting myself, yolo

I do watch my mouth around children/elderly out of respect! Also if i notice my language makes someone uncomfortable i will tone it down as well, but at the end of the day it’s just me expressing myself and my cursing is never directed towards the person I’m speaking with.
same but i got yelled at if i said "what the....." followed by any word

I grew up speaking two native languages with MANY curse words used in general conversations, so that counts towards swearing almost every day... I do stay careful around kids and people older than me though.

I grew up with parents who hated cursing. Once in a blue moon if I'm really really angry I will curse. Not in conversations but in my head or sometimes in sign language. I don't like cursing and I stay family friendly due to my two little nephews

yeah i swear a lot, mostly online since my parents don't like it, but i do it in front of my sister too since she doesn't care anymore. i used to be really against it when i was like 14 and would avoid it or type it and censor it when i got really mad but i just gradually stopped caring LOL.

to update what i said last year, i moved my vote to ‘once in a blue moon. (super rarely)’

i tend to use a lot of filler words in the place of an expletive. for example, instead of saying “what the f-word” i say “what the freak.” it started ironically but it’s permanently ingratiated into my vocabulary now LMAO.

like i said in my last post, i used to swear A LOT in middle and high school just because i thought it was the cool thing to do 😭 but it was never in my actual vocabulary if that makes any sense. i have never sworn around my family because i know they’d be so disappointed 💀

I rarely swear and only do it in English (not my first language). When I'm mad in my native language I have very childish words coming out of my mouth instinctively, so I'm always family friendly 🤣

Only with people I know really well. I wait for someone else to swear in front of me first in case it bothers them lol

I have been trying to reduce my language for some time now.

It's actually going pretty well!

I am not offended by people who use curse words... It is just a personal decision to better myself in a small way
