Do you collect villager photos?

I totally get what you mean about how special it feels to get a villager’s photo unexpectedly! I remember when I first started, I didn’t think much about the photos either, but once I got my first one, it felt like a little reward. Now, I have a whole section of my house dedicated to them, too! I even got a digital picture frame for my living room where I rotate my favorite villager photos (Nixplay makes a great one!). It’s such a nice touch to see them all displayed, especially when you’ve worked hard on those friendships.

I've only collected a couple. Now that I'm playing more often, I'll probably start collecting them and make a little villager memorial area

Yes! Unless they're villagers I just can't have on my island, no villager is allowed to move out until I get my hands on their photo. ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

Yep,I collect villager photos.Even after all this time I still feel chuffed when a villager gives me their photo.

I like collecting photos of my permanent villagers and honorable mentions and placing them in my house.

I collect all my villagers pics just display them~ it's fun trying to get the friendship high enough so they give you one ^^the only one I had trouble with was Chief. Had him for 4 months and never gave me his pic, had to get it from someone else

It would probably take an eternity to get every single villager’s photo without time traveling or assistance from online players. They’re not catalogued (though the posters are), but will still show up in the furniture placement list in Photopia if gained, so they’re still worth trying to get in that aspect. I’ve tried to gain photos from those that stay on my island a long time, and with the exception of my newest villager Caroline, have received photos from all my current residents.

I tried to get Jacques’ photo for a very long time, but could never get it. Eventually, I gave up and let him move out as I was so frustrated. I eventually got it through other means (and is now in my island’s former villager “graveyard”), but still could not understand how his replacement, Poncho, gave me his in about 40 days or so. Eh, maybe his love interest Dotty had something to do with it. I’ll never really know.

No I don't collect them, but it's nice if I ever get them. I usually let villagers come and go as they please so it's really up to my game to decide if a villager will stay long enough for me to get their photo.

Yes, though I only try to collect the photos of villagers I really like and want to keep on my island. Collecting villager photos can be a hassle and takes a bit of effort, though they're nice to put on display.

I never really cared much about the photos. To me it’s was just another item. But I understand how people see it as a grand prize and proof of friendship with the villagers.

i wish i had collected the photos from the villagers that moved out but it's just the permies that i have

i do make it a point to bring any new villagers to harv's island so that i could at least have their poster (plus it helps me remember who i've had on my island)

I collect any that are given to me, and put my favorites in one of the rooms in my house. I'm not going to try to collect every villager's photo though, that's a bit much.

In general, I don't go out of my way to collect villager photos, but I do think they're nice to have, and I enjoy getting them! The exception would probably be for my favorite villagers. For them, I usually do actually try to get their photos.

I’ve gotten the photo of every villager that’s ever lived on my island, with the exception of two that haven’t gifted them yet. 53 photos in total at the moment.

Yes I like to collect them as a memory, but only of the villagers that lived on my island, it would be too much to collect the pics of all villagers.

I play both ACNH and ACPC every day. I’ve collected a fair number of the photos in ACPC. In ACNH I’ve only collected the ones from those who live on my island. I only changed 3 villagers since the beginning of the game (can you tell I hate change, lol!). So I have the photos of the villagers who have been living with me the last couple of years and a couple from ones who moved off the island. I never moved anyone off of the island before I picked up some amiibo cards. I lost 1 villager very early in the game before I understood how the whole moving thing worked and I was super bummed. So I waited until I could do it with some control. Now whenever a villager asks to move I just say no way, lol. I still think the whole moving mechanic is very confusing and I have to go back and study how it works all over again if I’m even considering a change. I like HHP because I get to see more of the villagers and that way I get a little variety. It is also the reason why I love ACPC! I’ve unlocked all 400+ and so I get to chat with them whenever they are visiting and I can also call them to an island whenever I want.

I try to get the villager pics for each one that comes through my island. Though I don't go out of my way to cycle each and every villager possible. Maybe I'll do that someday when I literally have nothing left to do in the game, just for 101% catalog completion, but its not a priority.

I try to to get pictures for the villagers I care about enough, but it doesn't always happen. Tybalt is a villager that comes to mind because while he didn't fit my island, I still liked him enough to want his picture but I'm pretty sure I never did before he moved out. Raymond was a similar case but I actually succeeded in getting his picture iirc. The only issue is that he still hasn't asked to move out lol. I have a handful of permanent villagers who I've yet to receive pictures from. Piper and Raddle, and Aurora come to mind... I should work on that.

i've collected all of my permanent villagers' photos and some of the previous villagers who lived on my island but i do think i missed one or two. i have thought about collecting ALL the villager and NPC photos however i don't think it's worth the effort.

If I intend to move a particular villager out of my island to bring someone else in, and if I didn't already earn it prior, I purposefully work to acquire the photo of the villager before sending them on their way. It's a nice little thing to remember them by. I have a room in the house of one of my player characters where I hang the collected photos on the wall.

I don't really seek out a villager's photo if I don't plan to move them out anytime soon. I just earn them when I earn them, no rush.
