Do you care about your island's rating?

The golden watering can is super nice if you're into growing lots of flowers and hybrids! it increases the watering range! But yeah, the other gold tools seem fairly useless in comparison

I guess, but the golden watering can can break (which means you have to use up gold nuggets). I don't know, it just seems like it has such limited utility compared to New Leaf, for example, where you needed the gold watering can to create gold roses (and you also never had to worry about tools breaking in NL either, making it that much more useful).

To be honest, I time-travel too much to have to worry about not having enough hybrids. If anything, I need fewer, rather than more, flowers in my town lol.

That's true. I do think they should have made golden tools not break. It would have been a much bigger reward.

Yes. I care about 5 star ratings but only for the sake of spawning lily of the valley. Once I get enough, around 50 I guess, I can finally ignore ratings.

At the beginning, I knew I had to have a 5 star island - just for the sake of having one (and for bragging rights too I guess l o l). But once I’ve reached 5 stars and when I got tons of lily of the valleys to decorate my island with, I stopped worrying about keeping the status and come to think of it, it’s been a while since I’ve last asked Isabelle about my island rating.
Tbh, I just don’t really have enough storage space to keep all my stuff and recipe cards inside my house hence the lower rating.

I do feel better when my island is at five stars... I don't know why I care about it so much, but I do.

That being said... I am quite happy with my island as it is right now, and it is at five stars. I do not judge other people who have islands that aren't at five stars, and I am happy when they are happy with their island even if it isn't a "five star" island.

I voted that having a 5 star island is important to me, but that's only because I want a lot of the lily of the valley flowers. Once I have as many as I'd like I won't care anymore.

Yes, only because I would love some lily of the valleys & the golden watering can recipe! But I have so much junk lying on the ground that I feel I will never get it, not to mention I would probably have to terraform some more to build bridges! I have been procrastinating on that for the longest. After the 2 reasons mentioned, I would not care anymore whatsoever!

i didn't really focus on it after i got kk, and i had a lot of items and materials lying around the island for a while before i finally tidied up and added furniture outside. i think i have 3 or 4 lily of the valleys now and idk what to do with them

I don't particularly care at the moment; I had a 5-star rating for a couple of days, long enough to get one lily of the valley (which was a big surprise), but I had a lot of bugs and fish sitting out waiting for C.J. and Flick at the time, so as soon as C.J. showed up and I sold my fish, my rating dropped.

My island is far from finished anyway (I'm just starting to do a lot of designing now), so I'm just going to do what I want and see what happens. I'll probably try for a five star rating again eventually just to get more lily of the valley flowers, though.

I only cared long enough to get the 2 rewards, first time got the golden watering can. Had to do it a second time to keep it long enough for the lily of the valley to show up

at first i did care about having 5-star rating. i felt like i should get it at least once because otherwise i’d feel like my game experience is incomplete and i set it as one of my goals within the game. plus, i really wanted the gold watering can! but what i didn’t know back then was how it’s actually very easy to reach 5-star rating... i got it without expecting it, after i cut down few trees. so now i only care about it because i want more lilies of the valley and after i collect enough of them i won’t pay attention to it as much!

It took me very fast to get 5 stars. This is because I like to decorate a lot. Now it's 4 stars because of dropped DIYs. Seriously, what were they thinking giving us repeat recipes to give to friends only to have them not be able to be stored? I want my 5-star ranking back to spawn more Lily of the Valleys and just because it makes me happy. It was kind of disappointingly easy in my opinion if you're into making your island pretty.

Does anyone remember from WW how impossible it was to get that Perfect Town? lol

After hitting 5 stars, my island is eternally at 4 stars because of all the random stuff I have laid outside. I don't need more lily of the valleys, so the rating doesn't mean much for me right now.

It would be nice but it’s not essential to me. I like making my island the way I want and not just filling it with a bunch of stuff. I have four stars and that fine for now. I’m just decorating at my own pace working on areas whenever inspiration strikes

Nah, it doesn’t matter to me. It’s just an added bonus imo, really. I care more about how my island looks. Although I don’t think my island will be dropping from five stars anyway, lol.

I like having a 5 star island and having the golden watering can but I don't feel like my island is 5 stars so I don't like how easy it is to get that rating. I just keep improving my island however I can but just like Disneyland it will never be done.

I don't really care too much. I wanted to get it to 5 stars, and I just did recently, so now it doesn't really matter. I'll try to keep it at 5 stars as long as I can, but it if dips down to 4 then it's no big deal.
