Do you care about having a “gender balance” of villagers?

nah, i care more about personality balance. that usually leads to a semibalance in gender too. but i'm not too peculiar about it.

Not really, but I did notice I had planned on having almost all guy villagers, so I wanted at least a few girls. I just love crankies smugs and lazies so much

All I want is to be able to enjoy the company of each and every one of my islanders regardless of gender. I'm not a fan of perfectly balancing anything. It's too much work.

Nope, I have no idea what my gender balance is because I've never thought of it. My only preference regarding villager variety is to have at least one of every personality.

Nope. Majority of my favorites are male, and mostly cranky and jocks. Right now, I only have 1 female (peppy), Agent S. Once I get her photo, I'll cycle in a female personality. Probably a snooty.

In the end, once I get all reactions and DIYs, all 10 permanent villagers will be male.

I don't balance by gender intentionally but it kinda happens at times since I balance by personality. I try to have 1 of every personality, so I usually end up with a 5:5 or 6:4 ratio, I'm not sure if I have more males or females thou.

I tend to have more male villagers because I prefer the personalities they get. I have 5:5 right now but my extra peppy will be replaced for a smug I am missing.

I only care about the personality balance, but I always end up with one extra normal and smug.

I have slightly more females than males; 6:4. I think that's mainly due to the fact that I like the female personalities way more than the male ones. Smugs are great, but I already have two of those and three would be a bit much. I could possibly imagine having two crankies, but since I prefer snooties and peppies, one cranky it is. I even decided against a jock for the sake of having two snooties and two peppies (and two smugs).
What matters most to me is that I feel happy no matter which one of my villagers I run into, but to be honest, I kind of like that the females outnumber the males.

Yes, The most important thing to me is having all of the personalities, but since we can have two double personalities I'm choosing one additional male personality and one additional female personality.

I have 5 females and 5 males, as well as one of each personality plus two repeated personalities (lazy and normal), so yeah, I care lol.

I ended up adding an additional normal and an additional cranky to keep the gender balance.

I have more female villagers than male ones because I like normal villagers the most and they're always female, so... that's why.

I only care insofar as I want one villager of each personality type at least. So that means at least four male villagers, and four female.

That said, I find the female villagers cuter for the most part, and also REALLY like the snooty, normal, and peppy personalities, so my two extra characters are both female. Thus, I have a perpetual 6:4 gender imbalance.

I have two normals and two smugs on my dreamie list but I didn't really care if I had equal girls and boys. I just like Normals and Smugs more. :')

I care about balancing personalities, so by extension yes I care about having the genders balanced. But if personality wasn't gender-locked then I would likely have more male than female villagers.

I actually don't have much females. I only have 3 on my island right now! I found Raymond island-hopping last night and I'm probably not gonna keep him after getting his pic since I wanted Ketchup as my other female!

You ain't pleasing anyone but yourself. It's not like there's an ACNH yearly competition that everyone has to check off on all the lists.
