Do you care about having a “gender balance” of villagers?

not really! i have way more male villagers than female ones (i love the cranky and lazy personalities/designs), so i end with with no uchi and normal villagers and only one peppy and snooty each ;; but i don't mind much since i love chief, dobie, filbert, punchy, and bob so much that i can live without haha

I was more concerned with having all personalities represented, but it worked out on gender, as my doubles are normal and cranky.

I do, I like to have 5 girls and 5 guys on my island at a time. I also like to have at least one of each personality. I typically double up on ones I have the most cards for, in my case crankies, normals and snooties

I'm at 50/50 mostly by luck. I ended replace the same gender when I have been island hopping. No idea what the final make up will be. I've been rolling with the rng

I have thought about this recently and concluded that not really. I have two more villagers I’d like to replace and I’m really more so going for different animals and personalities than gender.
