Tom Nook's hilarious, especially in the original where he was all sarcastic and stuff.

I also love his backstory with Sable as well.

For a real estate agent, he's pretty nice. I mean you do have to pay for a house, but he literally gives you all the time in the world to pay it off with no interest.

I think that Tom Nook is a downright saint, especially in the WW and CF games. You come to town with no money and no idea where you'll be staying, and Nook offers you a home on a no-interest, pay-at-your-own-pace loan.

In NL, you come to town as mayor, so his offer seems more out of obligation than generosity.

Still, I think everyone wishes that RL real-estate was half that pleasant.

I've always liked him though I swear once when I was playing CF I either told him I didn't want to work, or didn't have the money to pay him, or something and he got all mad at me and lectured me about responsibility and him not being a charity. I wish I could remember what it was because it's the first time I ever saw that side of him.

If I'm not mistaken I was just trying to skip the tutorial as I'd done it way too many times.

I think he's a businessman, and compared to IRL businessmen like the Koch bros. Tom Nook is pretty freaking awesome. He's pretty much the best landlord ever, imo.

He's nice. Honestly, he gives you loans with no time limit, doesn't charge an overly excessive amount of bells, and expands your house however you please.

I think he is a good guy, actually, I guess all the "hate" there is on him is because of the partial time job you had to do at his shop in the previous AC games. And hey, his job is to build houses, and he can be paid for it, right?

Nook is a business man, but he's pretty generous in my opinion. He gives us a starter house for pretty cheap in every version and in the older games he gave us a part time job to get started on life. While he does expect us to pay him for the things he gave us, he doesn't force us to upgrade and he doesn't force us to pay up on deadlines. He's pretty chill, I think.

And his love of money? Look at us as players, we amass so much wealth in these games by selling the stuff we gather. How is Nook any different than us selling the stuff he's pulled together? Nook is exactly like the player. So, if he is greedy, remember our characters live in the finest houses in all the land and we probably have the most money too.

I used to not like him without any good reason, but now I think he's pretty nice. I mean, he gives you however long you need to pay off your debt, and he gave you that cute little tent in the beginning.

I think he's awesome. He's the only animal in Animal Crossing who doesn't act like money doesn't mean anything and for that I have to give him credit. Everyone else walks around like they have nothing to do all day but just ask you for favors and they don't have a care in the world. Nook knows what it takes to survive in the world and sometimes you have to be business first, and friends second.

I don't love him, or hate him, he's in between for me. I think he is somewhat greedy, especially seeing how he raised his kids. (OOo, bells, SO SHINY!) So there is definitely greed there, but I mean if you think in real life what you pay for a house and stuff he really isn't that bad. I think for all the work and renovations it's reasonable. And since you get as much time as you need it's great, and with a lump sum of bells you can just do a room a day which I really like(pay off loan, talk to nook, ask for expansion, next day talk to nook, pay off loan, talk to nook, ask for expansion..etc). I wish there were more dialogue with him and stuff, but I haven't played the other games so I don't know much about him. He's adorable though, him and his babies.

Tom nook is a piggy bank because he wants to get all your money for your house but it is more than he needs to build it. He is just a stupid piggy bank that is all i have to say! And lyle is just talking way too long, maybe they made a plan togeter to annoy the animal crossing user
