Do HHD amiibo cards work for HHP?

I want to invite a bunch of special npcs, and found a pack. Do they work with HHP/Acnh?

Yep. There’s a few differences for variants of characters, or at least there are in non-New Horizons games - BOTW gives different items for various Link Amiibos depending on incarnation, Mario and Bowser have similar ones, and while I haven’t checked since the 2.0 update I think any Isabelle or Nook amiibo drops them in their current outfit rather than distinguishing between spring/summer or fall/winter - but across games, the character is the character is the character. I remember being able to use the Samus Returns Samus Amiibo for games that came out a couple years before and having the same results as using a Smash version. (Now I kind of want to see if using a Series 5 Sable or whoever in HHD works.)

Are they charging a lot for shipping? EBay only charges sellers a cut of purchase price but won’t touch shipping, so that might be what they’re doing

That used to be the case, but hasn't been true for a long time now. Ebay also dings the sellers on the buyer's sales tax, which is really stupid.

If its too good to be true, its probably a scam. A lot of people sell homemade NFC cards from pirated NFC data.
