DIYs and reactions by personality?

I have read that villagers will only give certain reactions and make certain diys based on their personality? Is this true and is there a list somewhere that says what personality gives what? I currently don't have any snootys so I'm wondering if I'm missing out on stuff by not having at least one snooty. Thanks

Normal - Pleased, Fearful, Sadness, Glee, Daydreaming
Peppy - Happiness, Aggravation, Sleepy, Curiosity, Mischief
Snooty - Joy, Intense, Thought, Sighing, Amazed, Love.
Big Sister - Greetings, Laughter, Cold Chill, Apologetic, Disagreement, Confident
Lazy - Delight, Bashfulness, Sorrow, Mistaken, Shyness, Pride.
Jock - Surprise, encouraging, Sneezing, Distress, Shocked, Flourish
Cranky - Agreement, Worry, sheepish-ness, Bewilderment, Inspiration
Smug - Smirking, Resignation, Heartbreak, Dozing, Showmanship.
