I was just wondering if anyone lives in a town where Halloween is being/ was divided into two nights this year.

In theory, it doesn’t sound that bad for the trick or treaters. They get 2 nights to roam different parts of town. However, I live in a small town and the city did a poor job telling us which areas will get which night. Especially since the neighborhood lines are drawn weirdly.

Not that I'm aware of, although I don't keep up with the news that much. I've never heard of that, but I guess it could work out okay since it falls on a weekend this year.

Gonna be completely honest, I forgot about Halloween lol. I haven't seen anything about the days being split up in Seattle but I did see that a lot of Trick or Treating events this year got cancelled.

I have never heard of this. I don’t think they do that here where I’m at. It would be nice though. Though I was seeing a lot of people in costumes today and fake wigs.
It made me smile.

Damn…when my sis returned from work (around 8 pm) she said that there were lots of kids walking. Of course, no one came to our house. I wonder if this will affect tomorrow night’s turnout.
Ugh, I hate my city for not being clear about this. They should’ve put a color coded map or something.

To my knowledge, it's only being held on Sunday here, which I feel makes more sense. It's weird and awkward to have it be on a day that isn't Halloween imo, even weirder to have it spread over two nights.

Well, it's Singapore, and we don't do trick-or-treat (especially when 80% of us live in apartment blocks), soooooo...

Idk. I could barely care what this country does tbh.

I live in the UK where Halloween isn't the most popular holiday thats celebrated nationwide unlike the US. However when it does fall on a weekend more people do tend to celebrate whether it's an adult Halloween party at a nightclub on a Saturday night or parents taking their kids out on trick or treating if like this year Halloween falls on a Sunday.

I mean...there was a trunk or treat thing going on yesterday in the town I go to college at, but I don't know if that counts. Most of the partying and festivities are going on tonight. There are customers going out of Walmart with carts full of Halloween stuff right now.

I don’t think so, I live in a big city and I haven’t heard anything. I know we have Halloween events going on all weekend but I don’t think last night trick or treating started or anything, I’m pretty sure it’s just tonight
