Did you ever adopt villagers that weren't dreamies?

I'm just curious.

While most of my adopted villagers were dreamies, my very first adopted villager, Eunice, was 100% an impulse adopt, I just went on some blog where people can giveaway villagers and I hadn't had a camper in weeks so I was kinda like "why not?" and went ahead and adopted her. Despite really not thinking through adopting her, I'm glad that I got her because she turned out to be a favourite.

yeah, i adopted a lot of villagers that weren't dreamies because i didnt really have any set dreamies so i just adopted villagers i liked.

My town villager-wise is a mess currently. I'm waiting for the fall update, seems I have my dreamies as cards.

Yeah, very often. There's a lot of cute villagers that are unpopular, so sometimes I try to save them from the void. Just did that with Deli the other day, and I might actually keep him for a LONG time, he's so adorable <3. Other times I'll adopt villagers if I need a specific personality type as well. I avoid adopting really popular villagers that aren't my dreamies, because I'm sure there's someone out there that wants them a lot more, and I'd feel like a jackass if I took them lol

My dreamies all started out as adopted villagers I didn't know about except Biskit, he was the first villager I ever spoke to, and I've loved him since. I hate the idea of voiding villagers. I hate a lot of the Tier 1s (not all of them, I love Stitches) but most of my favourites are from Tiers 4/5. Biskit, Roald, Bunnie, Cheri, Hamlet, Drake - ALL TIER 4! THESE ARE MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITES! I hate the idea of them being voided. As for Tier 5, countless villagers I love: Chadder, Bones, Gabi, and Sally are my final 4 dreamies, all in TIER 5! I hate voiding, even with the villagers I'm not so fond of.

I love getting villagers that aren't "dreamies". I find that if I spend enough time with any villager I eventually like them enough so I would be willing to have them in another town so I like getting to know any villager that moves to my town regardless of who they are. I also find that some of the less popular ones I find to be the most interesting like Moose and Tabby. I would be happy to have any villager move into my town with the exceptions of Agnes and Marshal.

Yes.All the time. I recently wanted Tipper the cow, but I settled on Becky the chicken. I seen her on the villager trade board and thought she looked cute. I'm really glad I got her. She is really cute.

I adopted Peggy because the person giving her away was about to void her and I had a space and I like peppy villagers so I thought "why not?".I saved a piggy from the void and she turned out to be a good villager.

Yeah. I recently adopted Canberra, mainly because most of the villagers in my newest town are koalas, and I needed an Uchi.

She's really not as bad as most people make her out to be. Sure, she's not a cute villager, but whatevs.

I totally just adopted Whitney on impulse because someone was giving her away and I knew she was high on the tiers, so I was like why not? I can probably just sell her (if I'm being perfectly honest). But then I lowkey fell in love with her, so she stayed. And she's never leaving.

That is how Pancetti, Ribbot, Del, Tipper, Ruby, Hazel and on and on became dreamies, lol.

yes. it's bc none of my dream villagers were in boxes in the VTP and i didn't want a random move-in.
