Did Nintendo actually do Sonic better than Sega could?

Nintendo has the old sounds (The sudden stopping, jumping,ect), His finger wag, and overall good retro feeling to sonic...

Most definitely I mean look at Sonic for the 360/PS3 sigh -.-

By all means I think Nintendo should buy Sonic completely and revive the series from whence it was broken
