did anyone accidentally get raymond

This happened to me today around island 25 when hopping. I've never quite understood why he's so popular, but I took him in so that I can get to know him and find out

He was the first camper on my island so was a forced move-in! I didn't even know he was so popular when he moved in!

i did get him! although i got scammed first and then after like 5 trades falling through, finally found him! 0/10 would not recommend but i can't help but be curious what he's all about. also: i've got limited time to play most days and didn't want to put my gameplay on hold to island hop which was totally my own fault/loss lol.

My friend got him from a random campsite visit. She didn't think twice of booting anyone out. Meanwhile, I got Marshal from there too. (The same friend also wanted him. I am gonna give it to her one day in exchange for Lily.)

Island hopping when I have a spot open has become my favourite part of the whole game. You're right, it's time consuming, but I had ridiculous amounts of fun seeing all the different characters and picking up items, fossils and DIYs along the way.

Jokes aside, congrats to those randomly getting him! Even if you don't like him, definitely invite him to make bank so you can get ones you really like later. =p

I was doing campsite method to get my head out of anxiety. Didn't have a smug, I wasn't looking for someone in specific, just someone cool. In Lucky's birthday, November 4th, I got announcement from Isabelle, and I thought it was funny, because Lucky, being lucky, uh, whatever. And when I opened the campsite, there he was.

edit: also I would like to state that I was farming mushrooms so actually it took like 5 tries to get him

i originally thought he was cute but he wasn't really a dream villager for me, i was pretty neutral on him and just thought his random sudden popularity was funny. my favorite of the new animals was judy and raymond was so difficult to get i didn't really consider him for my island.
then i found him after like 5 tries on a mystery island... i kinda freaked out and took him, and now im super attached ;_; hes my best friend on my game

Kinda? Someone offered him to me in exchange for Lucky and I took him, thinking I could sell him later, but I think he's charmed me and may well be a keeper.
