:D

You’ll probably know in the moment what feels right—same or new. Even if you’ve used a name before, it can still feel new in new game / on a new Island. It’ll become its own after a while, I think.

I hope you have a great start into NH! Those first few moments on the Island are very special imo. Don’t rush and just take your time settling in. You’ll be caught up with everyone sooner or later! ^ェ^

Late? Not at all, the game just came out like two months ago and we are in the beginning of getting updates and stuff. I have about 155 hours in, am still in my first five villagers and have not had K.K. or have a developed island, quite on opposite in fact. But yeah, welcome and glad you got the game.

ahh it must be so exciting to finally be joining the fun!! i personally named my island something very distantly connected to my NL town, which makes it feel connected without the connection being too important.

thank you for your kind words! the game is looking really nice so far, seriously, it's so shiny.
I managed to get one of the new villagers as a starter, not sure how lucky I am

If you can't decide a new name, just stick with the old one from your previous game. That's what I did. This game starts out slow, but as you progress, things become better.

I started playing about two weeks after the game's release. I initially felt the same way that you felt; that I was behind by a lot. That being said, the game starts out pretty slow, but progression is pretty quick once you get past the final house debt payment. (That being said, the house debt is quite substantial in this game. I'll leave the final number as a surprise, since there are some users who prefer to play the game without knowing anything about it.) There's some other things that take some time, but they can be done in tandem with paying off the house debt.

As for town name, it's totally up to you. I named my island something completely different from my NL town name. There's not much that can go wrong either way here.

I went with a new name because I hate my NL town name. It was the name of my hometown lmao. I did stick with the same town tune though.

what do I do, is this one rare?
