cranky villagers personality change from town to town?

Like for example the cranky villager "Vic"

He was in my town before and we didn't even have any friendshop but he always been nice and saying nice things but when I visited my friend's town who also had Vic , he was mean in her town, so do cranky personalities change from the villagers?

Perhaps you re new so that particular villager is mean to you? xD I think cranky villager will be nice to you after a long time in your town and kinda mean during first meeting?

Ah no He was actually mean about his mayor and he was making fun of the town he's living in which was kinda funny

Nah, crankies are crankies, their personalities don't differ from town to town. Chances are your Vic was talking crap about you behind your back, too, while being nice to your face.

Funnily enough a cranky I got from a streetpass was complaining about the mayor of his old town today!

Villagers say different things to visitors than to a mayor.

It's true that a personality never changes, however each personality has certain dialogue for certain situations and in that respect you could hear different things depending on whether or not you're in a situation where they would use dialogue not normally seen. In this case he was used to seeing dialogue as a mayor, so seeing it as a visitor made the difference.
