don't do this method unless you don't care about who's moving out -- I believe fruitful is talking about the foolproof method? You won't be able to tell who's going into boxes.

none of the villagers in my second town i was really interested in keeping except Marina and Frita but i can always get Frita back after 16 villagers.

si, i am. the one my fried uses in the tt forward 2 days then somebody may ping. but it's not guaranteed.

i've done that with my main town and i will do it to get Molly to ping since normally either she or Pietro asks to move when i do this.

Wifi ratings speak for themselves. I need to be able to be sure i'll get her back since a nice user on here kindly gave her to me and i really want her in my main town and since i can't transfer her over myself i need help from the people on here. I didn't mean to make you feel ignored.

the 1 year 5 days one goes like this: tt back 1 year 5 days and save. go ahead 1 year and save. then go ahead 5 days and somebody should be in boxes.

This method is hilarious.. You can actually do this by just travelling ahead a month instead of one year.

Start while one villager is in boxes (ex: June 20th)
Move ahead 30 days (ex: July 20th)
Move ahead 25 days (ex: Aug 15th) (A villager automatically puts up a fence)
Move ahead 5 days (ex: Aug 20th) (A villager always moves out on this day)

Day by day is a good idea. =) I cycle 1 month, 1 month(there is a plot on this day), 5 days(someone is in boxes on this day) in my cycle town. I cycle back 4 days, forward 4 days and walk by people to get a ping in my main town since most are keepers. Both these methods start with someone in boxes. The first one is foolproof. The back and forward 4 days has a mover 80%(?) of the time.

How awesome that you got Julian as a random! The one from this morning...I LOLed at the sight of his house. It had his table with two bugs on it and a spaceman. Nothing. else.

I guess you don't need my Marina that I *just* got to ping.

Yeah i got really lucky plus his house isn't in a bad spot either. Not sure if i'll keep him or not. So i should try forward 4 then back 4?

It's back 4, then forward 4. I wouldn't try it unless you have someone in boxes. Too risky. It took me a couple "months" to get a mover once when I started a new town.

then it might be better if i give her to someone else to hold because if you love her you would have to cycle out 16 villagers to get her again and thats not very fun especially if you want her to stay in your town.

Make sure you're talking to them regularly. They won't ping to tell you they're moving if they're upset you haven't talked to them or something. (I've had that problem and had dreamies moved out because I didn't talk to them, so they didn't ping me, and I kept TTing until it was their moving day) Once you get someone to ping, if it isn't who you want & you say no, I recommend this method: TT 2 days ahead, TT 2 days back, then run around until someone pings. Still make sure you talk to them regularly. If no one pings, or villagers are not outside, save and quit, TT a few hours ahead, etc, until you can find who's moving. (However don't start this until someone's pinged you. If you TT 2 days ahead 1 day before someones moving day...well you'll lose someone you don't want to lose, just keep talking to them and TTing a few hours apart until you find who's moving)
