Computer/Steam help?

I've been watching videos of South Park: The Stick of Truth and I really want to get it because I've enjoyed watching the gameplay. However, I don't have a PS3 or an Xbox, so I'd have to get it for PC.

However, I'm not sure if my computer would be able to handle it. I have an HP Pavilion dv4 and it is like maybe almost 7 years old. I have a bit over 40GB of free space too. My laptop runs Windows Vista.

Here are the minimum requirements to play the game on a computer:

Connectivity: Requires the Steam client to install and play
DirectX: Version 9.0c
Hard Drive Space: 6 GB available space
Operating System: Windows XP SP3, Vista SP1, Windows 7, Windows 8
Processor: Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz or equivalent
RAM: 1.5 GB GB RAM
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 3870 or NVIDIA 9800 GT

Can someone help me out please? Because I don't understand the requirements and whether or not I have them. >_<

Then tell me the CPU speed in GHz and the amount of RAM the computer has in GB.

Okay so it says:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5800 @ 2.00 GHz 2.00 GHz
Memory (RAM): 4.00 GB

It should be OK seeing as you have lots of RAM. Ram is basically what the game is stored in while it is running. You habeas a good CPU as its dual core so that and the ram will compensate for the 0.5 GHz left

800MHz is your bus speed and is OK for general gaming

If it isn't, try lower graphics settings or update your video card at the manufactures website.

Actually I'm pretty sure you'll have some difficulty running the game. Your video card will have a big impact too, and I don't even think the nVidia 9800 was out 7 years ago. Your CPU is a very old model, just because it's dual core doesn't mean it's going to work well.

Trust me, you habe 4GB ram with 800MHz system bus. You can carry long byte word length. I run microsoft flight simulator on 1.3GHz cheap processor fine. Try it and see. Windows Vista is pretty good. Just make sure your video card is up to date
Dual core at 2GHz will take the weight evenly and 4GB ram is what most gamers use.

Well I probably will have to replace my video card then. It's not really the best and it's been doing a thing where if I turn on my computer, it will load up fine but the picture won't show so there's just a black screen instead.

Otherwise, I guess it would be time to get a new laptop since I have had mine for almost seven years.
