Can you still get the club nintendo points from the Animal Crossing:New Leaf game if you buy the Animal Crossing 3DS XL with it preloaded?

I have the AC 3DS XL and I'm pretty sure I got two Club Nintendo codes. I guess one code was for the 3DS and the other was for ACNL. c:

I did not get points for the game; only for the system, because I didn't actually download it. I wrote them and they were all "oh, so sorry but no"

Maybe they changed it though, I bought it June 10th.
