Ya I looked u right I lived in est for all my life and never kne there was a edt

Don't worry, before joining this forum I didn't know that as well. Apparently all the cities that use a daylight saving time use 2 type of time zones, but some cities don't use the daylight saving, for example Kingston (click here) uses EST all the year.
