Fun fact about Roman gladiators:
To die honorably, the defeated Roman gladiator would grasp the thigh of his victor, who would then hold his opponent’s head or helmet and plunge a sword in his neck. To make sure the gladiator was not faking his death, an attendant dressed as Mercury would touch him with a hot iron rod, and another attendant dressed as Charon would hit him with a mallet.

Recently, a new pigment of blue was discovered (yes a completely brand new colour?!). It was discovered at Oregon State University where they accidentally were experimenting with the structure of manganese ions, further discovering an unusual “trigonal bipyramidal coordination” once exposed to extreme heat. They believe its natural properties could be utilized best within roof paint, reflecting infrared rays to keep buildings cooler!

In 2005, Apple released the iPod Shuffle. It's slogan was "Life is Random" due to it's popular shuffle function. Shortly after it's release, customers complained about just how "random" the shuffle was. They claimed they often heard the same song multiple times in a row and repetitive songs by the same artists. In response, Apple made an update to the Shuffle. It made it so songs of the same artist wouldn't play repetitively. Steve Jobs said, "We're making it (the shuffle) less random to make it feel more random." Hehe I actually still use my 1st Generation iPod Shuffle! Thanks for the giveaway!

There is a type of flatworm that is always born with both male and female parts and when it comes down to reproducing, the two flatworms will "fence" with their willies, and the loser has to shed his willy and become a female. I have no idea how to explain it other then two worms fight for the role of the male by whacking each other with their dingle-hoppers until one is forced to become a female.

The saying "Mind Your Own Beeswax" comes from the 18th/19th Century when women had make up made from beeswax. So like at a little gathering back then if a lady saw another ladies make up running she went to that lady and said Mind Your Own Beeswax.
Have you ever heard your parents or grand parents tell you "Sleep Tight Don't Let The Bed Bugs Bite" well in 1700s they had to have ropes tightened in order to have a well spring bed Which is where Sleep Tight comes from and Don't Let The Bed Bugs Bite just comes from bed bugs around your bed and not letting them bite you.
