Chinese Zodiac Town Theme?

So I've officially decided I'm going to do a Chinese Zodiac themed town with zen pwp, bamboo, stone paths, a zen garden, and of course all of the zodiac animals in my town. But there are 12 zodiac animals and only 10 villagers allowed, so I need to decide on which 2 animal types I'm not going to have. I was thinking my character could dress up as one of the animals, possibly a bunny since there's a bunny hood in the game, but the animals in the 12 are rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig. I have no idea what villager I'm doing for the snake. Maybe Snake the rabbit? Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Also if you have any in terms of what flowers i should use, trees, pwps, or anything else feel free to share!

Maybe just try to leave out the zodiacs that are not in the game, so leave out the snake for sure. but I don't what what else to leave out tbh. possibly the rat?

That sounds like a really cool idea. Slightly off topic but have you checked out Fruits Basket? It's a manga focused on the Chinese Zodiac. Either way, count out the snake and whatever other animal you like the least tbh. Definitely have the zen Pwps and growing lots of bamboo trees can help make the scenery. The hot spring, wisteria trellis, and log benches should also help create the look you're going for. Maybe the dragon could be Drago?

As for your character, maybe dress one of them as the snake and whatever other animal you decide not to include as villagers?

What an awesome idea! I think leaving out the rabbit and having your mayor dress as one would be good too. Out of curiosity though what villager would you get for the ox?

This sounds awesome, quite unique too. Maybe you could make a second character to fill in for the two zodiacs missing? Although snake's not a snake, he's still a good fit because of his name. Or you could even have animals that fit into the brackets of the chinese zodiac, like their birthday makes them born under the sign of the ox but then again that has nothing to do with the chinese zodiac, it's more the english version. I guess if you were going for the english version you could have a town full of animals that are born under a certain zodiac like capricorn, taurus etc.

Apart from that you'd have to make your mayor be one of the missing zodiac signs and make a second character for the other. Anyway enough rambling, I think the zodiac set would be a good fit for your house or the zodiac items you get on new years. You could even put them in some of your animal's houses. You could put a zodiac item in each of their houses according to their chinese zodiac sign. I think that'd be cool.

YES i love fruits basket! My favorite manga of all time. That's what really made me decide on a zodiac town theme, I was choosing between a couple but it stuck out to me the most. And yeah I was thinking of having drago as the dargon. And side note but does anyone know what flowers would be best for the theme?

Out of curiosity though what villager would you get for the ox?

I was thinking of either Rodeo or T-Bone, Rodeo because he's quite cute in my opinion or T-Bone because he resembles an Ox the most and I'm trying to have all the villagers I choose resemble the animal that they are. Like no purple chicken, zebra horse, etc.
