So I'm trying to see if there's any leading or manipulating going on to make people devolve into town tunnels...

As for me wanting power it’s still gonna be “just trust me bro” coming from me. However, I think that I am in a good position to best utilize that power, and sorry but that’s it.

Tbh looking back at Tessa’s RQS the thing that made me think she was town was pretty minor, and could have been made bc she had ice cream on her mind rather than being game related. But in Q4 of her RQS she refers to herself as vanilla, which I view as a potential perspective slip as to her exact role. Also slightly restrictive of her future actions if she is mafia doing it intentionally.

I put in my blue vote for Frosty Almonds. Simply because she seems the most town based off of my gut.

No I definitely forgot that she didn't have her role yet and only thought about that after. Since she was technically playing with no opinion and probably as town I still think the point is valid, though. That was town betsy playing. At this point its not a read but more of speculation in my mind, and a note to look for a change of behavior after this point.

yeah but in this tight setup you really have to pull your weight for me to not want to vote. i feel indifferent towards them and currently they’re the person with the least content and haven’t shown yet that they’ll be an active player

I’m just gonna keep my vote on Dan for the moment. Sorry bro, but maintaining Betsy is still a townread for the same reasons after being told that the reasons for the read aren’t valid just isn’t the response I expect from town Dan. I think you just wipe that specific read and start over on Betsy

Yeah tbh this is such a minor thing that I don’t expect a mindmeld from anyone thinking about it again though I think that Tessa tipping their exact role in the first post of the game is a bit towny

I really don't feel comfortable that you came in and first order of business was ask to get the power up? I like our thoughts yesterday about deciding who we trusted most as town, so I think I would rather give it to one of us who was here yesterday unless you can really change my mind. Not that I think immediately you are mafia Dolby, just that I'm uncertain. You definitely came in here the most headstrong of us with bluntly getting to the point. Which I'm trying to decide if it's you being actually trying to solve this for town or setting the stones for mafia.

Then on voting Dan. I don't know if I like that you immediately excuse Tessa townreading Betsy but incriminate Dan for it? They both made the same mistake. Do you have any other reason why we should vote Dan? I don't think I want to use Betsy's mystery role to incriminate anyone because Betsy also specified several times she thought she was town, so her game did come off as more I'm working on towns side.

Not drastically, but I'm not perfect in my opinions on how to read people because (i'd like to think) I'm getting better at it.

For example I was very against voting IA and I still don't love the idea but you guys brought up some really good points that I just hadn't considered.
When I first came into mafia blind, I was younger and a lot less understanding of the groove. I'm trying to get it better now, and so you'll see less changes in my style. But i'm not perfectly consistent

Oooh, okay I get you. You mean more of developing your skills. I didn't consider that and was assuming you meant you just liked to change how you play every time and being a true wildcard so no one can read your meta, My bad. I totally understand the learning as you play angle.

As for why I vote for Dan and excuse Tessa for townreading Betsy, I felt, and kinda still do, that there was a meaningful difference in how they townread Betsy. I felt Dan made a fake read that wasn’t being used in a town motivated way, I felt Betsy made a read that she believed in the moment and was using in a town motivated way. TL;dr, the way that they came to the same conclusion was meaningfully different

As for why I wanted to vote Dan off, yeah it comes down to I felt he made a noticeably fake read that town wouldn’t get to. Now I just kinda think he’s the least towny of the people who spoke.

Raven is still someone I'm considering yeah. I appreciate that she came in, and was upfront about her schedule so why she wasn't active until later yesterday, but she also didn't stick around very long. I am going to wait and see what she says today but right now, this kind of plays on my I'd rather vote off the inactive (or, I guess now the least active). Dolby does have me a little suspicious but not enough quite yet to want a day 1 vote. We still have time. I also want to pay closer attention to Betsy today since we know she knows and literally nothing that happened yesterday could be used. I am still very much hoping you are town Betsy,

I get it, but I’m the best person in the game to ensure that the power up gets used in a manner that helps town, and ensures that you all know what happened with it after its use. This is not a personality thing. But yeah I do get it and why people don’t want to follow “just trust me”. I think of the people who aren’t me Tessa is a fine vote.

Admitidly the reads on Dan and Tessa are process thing. I saw Tessa’s process to come to a read that I disagreed with and liked it, and saw no process from Dan. Though I do still think that Dan is the least towny of people who talked I don’t think “yeah this guy 100% made a fake read as mafia and needs to go” anymore.

Like for Dan it was initially “this guy doesn’t care about if his reads and process are right because it’s mafia, which is why he’s townreading Betsy when he shouldn’t be”, and now it’s like “ok I can believe that he thought that Betsy was joking around that she didn’t have a role, sure, but I don’t really townread you rn”. In comparison to Tessa, where she acknowledged that Betsy didn’t have a PM, but then was like “oh, this is so similar to how you were in your last town game”, which was just believable to me.
