Hey, guys, I intend to comb through responses here and in the similar topic I posted in another New Leaf forum I frequent, but for now just want to relate the greatest kindness I have ever been shown by anyone in the NL community:
I got the greatest hybrid flower hook-up ever; she literally said I could have whatever hybrids I wanted. I stuck strictly to what I lost, but the feeling of warmth was so overwhelming that it's hard to even get through responses at the moment until I start replanting some of my stolen hybrids.
Since I have only been playing this game since 29 December and have relied so heavily on friends for any worthwhile items I got, the only thanks I could think to give was all the rare weeding stuff another friend gave me, and that I was not thinking of ever parting with until inspired at this moment.
And I know this friend who gave me the weeding stuff would have no issue with this. We're all about giving away cool stuff to people to make them feel good: we do that to each other all the time. For instance, she recently gave me Cookie's pic, and I gave her Fuchsia's pic, just because, man.
Going back to the good person who gave me the hybrids hook-up: As I told her: Good friends are worth way more than the rarest items in the game.
I kinda hope in the next game they implement some sort of tracking system. Like at the end of each day Isabelle gives you a list with the names of every visitor that came to your town in the order- something like that
What I was thinking of was that you could tick an option preventing anyone from shoveling bushes, picking roses, etc., and that you can select to have the game record your visitors when they arrive even when you're gone, with their user name and town superimposed on the screen, so that you have incontrovertible proof of who deserves the scorn of the community.

I'm sorry to hear this happened to you. I found the little treasure chest on the island earlier, and right after I bought it, someone purposefully crashed me. I know this because they pointed it out before they did it. Fortunately, my medals were all in-tact, at least.
Sadly, there will always be people that go around with the sole intent of ruining things for others. I recommend not leaving your town unsupervised from now on, even if that limits availability to others. If someone really needs to visit you, I'm sure you can both arrange a time.
Yeah, I'm gonna be more limited now to people I absolutely trust. I may still invite people who are less trusted, but under supervision. I know that makes people feel rushed and even unwanted because that's the feeling I had in such towns, but I feel it is necessary, and I can always give a reassuring word or two so that the honest ones do not feel too discouraged.

Oh my gawd...I certainly always saw you online on my list (usually my wifi only turn on if I have trade) and did you remember who is the last one to enter your town? ><
As I posted in a similar topic in another forum I frequent, my problem with naming the name of the one or two people I saw whenever I checked to see who was in my town, but without actually looking around my town (was in a hurry, in and out of my room), is that there could have been any number of guests and if I point fingers at the only ones I saw I risk hurting innocents by undeservedly downgrading their reputation.
