That is absolutely, absolutely terrible. I am so horrified.
I love having neighbours who leave their gates open - it's one of my favourite parts of the game, honestly. Checking my WiFi, visiting whoever I can, it makes every single day that much more interesting.
Granted, I only have about three friends who leave their gates open 24/7, but I appreciate them so, so much. I would never dream of stealing anything from them.
I have seen, however, people in those open towns, while the host was away, taking fruit and other things left around. Who knows if they had permission to do that - but it does make me wary to open my gates when I'm not actually there to watch.
You have a great attitude towards what happened - I would be downright livid and probably wouldn't play for a few days (hey, I'm a hothead, what can I say?) I'm so sorry this happened to you. It's those kind of people that ruin online play for people like me, you, and all the other innocents.

OMG. I am so sorry this happened to you. After any transaction I delete friend card. It makes me feel bad but it's not worth the risk of random people entering. If you need any bush starts maybe I can get you some. This is a good post. I had rules in my signature but not sure that really helps.
Heck, yeah. The first time someone trusted me enough to do that for me, I felt so good inside, left her town, and came back with more gifts than I could carry in my pockets.
Heck, that was even part of what I told people who I kept on my friends list: When you come over, shop to your heart's content, take all the fruit you want, etc. There were no limits except for the common decency expectation: no shoveling bushes, trampling flowers.
Heh, I might seem calm, but that's only because I am nowhere physically near the person who did this. If you can't get revenge, it's hard to get angry, because I'm just hurting myself and in no way affecting the person who did this.

I'm using all the bush starts right now to replant what was dug up. I might have enough by now thanks to so much generosity, but if I need more I'll be sure to ask you and the other person who offered me via VM. Thank you so much. And of course I'll pay for the trouble.

That's really cool. Since I sold my surplus recently, I only have about 15 baskets right now, but seems like I could still make quite a bit with that, thanks. I had a few hybrids stolen from me a while back, so I can understand your pain. I can't imagine someone wrecking my town as much as they did to yours, though. So sorry...

And now with your story, is true that we shouldn't put too much trust (sorry for people who never mean to do any harm) on anyone cause someone may have the ill-minded that you will never read from their face behind the screen.
To whoever did this, you already have taken enough and that should be all so there's no necessary to destroy people's town, idk, jealousy? Wait until one day people break your trust this way, not in game, but IRL.

I kinda hope in the next game they implement some sort of tracking system. Like at the end of each day Isabelle gives you a list with the names of every visitor that came to your town in the order- something like that

I have two towns, tomorrow I can send you all the bush starts I buy from both.
I'm still in the process of putting bushes around my brick path, but I feel terrible that this happened to you. I see you're wanting blue hydrangeas, I need them least, I think I'm done with them actually, so I can give you as many of those as I buy in the next few days.
Whoever did this should be ashamed of themselves.

You just have to ask. Stealing is rude, hurtful, and just not okay.

I have...well I can't count now but my whole train station plaza is covered in bush starts at the moment. I was saving them to give to another TBTer but he hasn't replied to both my attempts to contact him so I'm thinking of just putting them up for grabs. I've been taking the hollies and blue hydrangeas but I do have a few leftover, if you would like them!
If you're missing orange cosmos as a whole, I have two that you can use to rebreed again as well. If you're adamant about paying that's fine, but I am planning to give most of these away so feel free to nab what you need!
