A villager asked me to catch a Stringfish, which is a pretty rare fish so I'm smelling a picture coming up. But this fish doesn't appear until December..... Trolls.

It swims from 4PM to 9AM, so perhaps after midnight? But then that villager will be sleeping. c.c

Sometimes they ask for things that aren't available at the time, it's so evil! It's never happened to me, but I've seen it happen to other people.
I guess the game doesn't account for the seasons of fish.

It sorta does, I can already catch Crabs from the Ocean when they're available in Winter IIRC.

If that wasn't the case, We'd have villagers asking for Sharks in Winter (Okay, we can get them from the Island...)

Villager is asleep though. But I can't be sad.

Oddly, whilst the day starts at 6am, the available fish/bugs actually change at midnight. Perhaps the game allows for that and on the last day of the month villagers can ask for both new and old ones.
