I've picked up New Leaf again!

And I love it so much!! I mean, the storage is clunky, especially after New Horizons, but everything else about the game is just so <3 <3 <3 I really want to try and collect all the bugs, and all the fish, because I'm pretty close! I only have one sea creature left (Unfortunately the spiny lobster, which isn't available until fall), seven bugs, nine fish, and ten pieces of art! Somehow I've never caught a fly?? So that's one easy thing to aim for. Although, one of the bugs I need is also the golden stag, which nookipedia says has a rarity of "Mythical"
I'm just really having fun spending time in my almost ten year old town.

i love how you phrased it. "everything else about the game is just so <3 <3 <3" i feel the same way about the game! the golden stag can be found on tortimer's island, that's where i caught several. i just kept running around the perimeter of the island catching bugs until i filled my pockets. it's a great way to make bells! if you're good on bells you can just "scare" away the bugs you don't need and eventually one will show up. i prefer tortimer's island because it's smaller area to check.

wah! watching this thread because i picked up new leaf again today :] thinking i might attempt to reload a save from 2019! i started over in january and it just doesn’t feel the same

i’m strongly considering resuming my playthough in such a way that i regularly “pause” time. i’ve honestly never really done that before with much success, but i’d really like to try so that i can fully appreciate the game as an adult this time around
