Hi all,

I'm wondering if this is a glitch or something. I haven't found one of my villagers for a couple days now. I've looked everywhere during the day and at night. At night their house lights are on like they're home but when I attempt to go in nothing happens. This happens at all times of the day. I've looked at beaches, all parts of my island, in the museum and nothing. Am I missing something?

What do you mean by "nothing happens?" Do you see the text box that says they're not home? Maybe a video will help.

Sounds like a bug... have you time traveled? I've been seeing repeated threads with various problems like yours but up to this point one thing they've had in common is time travel.

No I haven't, I'm new to animal crossing and I'm not even familiar with what time traveling is. I've just been playing the game normal logging in every day.

In an effort to help you solve this, I'd like to ask, where did this villager come from? Was it one of your starting villagers? Did you invite them from an island? Did you ask them to move in from another friend's island?

Very strange. I would progress further and see if the problem resolves itself. Perhaps the issue will go away once you add more villagers. Which villager is it, by the way?

The villager is peck, he was one of my two starting villagers. His house still shows up on my map too.

That is really unfortunate! =( I would do as jefflomacy suggested and try moving in a few more villagers and see if it gets him to reappear. I can't say I've heard of something like this happening

now that you mention it i haven't seen muffy for a couple of days :( i just got the promt they are upgrading my res services building so maybe she'll reappear when its done

That's weird. Have you been closing the game when you're done playing, or do you just put the console in sleep mode? I've seen some other games on the Switch have weird issues when left running for too long.

I just fixed it. I saved my game, completely closed the software on the switch and restarted the game. After that I was able to go in his house. Yes!!!

Oh I'm so glad! I was pretty worried for you >.< It's a good thing you found the solution so we'll know what a possible fix is if anyone else is experiencing this. Thank you for keeping us updated on your situation!
