Since i started this game, i have seen plenty of sharks but for some reason i just CANNOT catch one! I'm usually pretty good at fishing and have caught loads of different types of fish, and i don't do anything different when i try and catch a shark but somehow they always get away, every single time I don't know what i'm doing wrong but it's really starting to bug me. Can anyone give me some tips?
Have you tried closing your eyes and just going by sound? This helped me A LOT in the beginning. The sounds is a faster response than the visual of the bobber
I also prefer to use headphones when I am fishing to drown out any other sounds. This, and closing your eyes, helps me even when I'm fishing at the island or on tour with the standard fishing pole.
Easier said than done, but don't over think it and don't get over anxious. It's just like any other fish, only the the response time has to be quicker. Closing your eyes works for a lot of people, reportedly. I'm not one of those people--it just makes me more anxious. However, the key is in the sound. As soon as you hear the ker-plunk sound, press A. A good tip was given above in this thread--if the shark bites four times, the fifth time is a guaranteed bite.
