Can you controll who the camper kicks out?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I have a random camper today and I would like to invite her, but I don’t want to risk her kicking out any of the villagers I like. I read somewhere that they will randomly chose one to ask to switch places, would it be possible to reset at that point until you kick out the one you want?

Following as I’d also like to know! I had a camper a few day’s ago and I have a handful of villagers I want to leave and she picked one of the 3 I wanted to keep Didn’t even think about resetting!

yes it's possible, the villager mentions the name of the villager who is "thinking of moving out" on the text bubble. if it's someone you don't want out, quit immediately without saving. and do it all over again. it could be time consuming, it all depends on your luck. i've tried this twice, first time took me an hour (maple REFUSED to say rodney, but said every single villager). the second time was easier, i got it the 2nd time trying. so far i don't think it auto-saves while having the conversation. the trick is to just quit (without saving) once you see the name, don't even click anything.

You can use the method Underneath The Stars said above, but if you have the amiibo card, you can choose who to kick out for them.

Keep in mind that they usually say the name of the villager right after you agree to let them kick someone out, so I always slow down right around then!
