Because they don't do speech and shiz in class? Well at least for practice until she gets used to.it if you get what I mean you have to practice and do not fear while doing the presentation this is what I learned from grade school
just thinking positive stuff for now and guys RESPECT people's opinions pls
I understand what you're saying but that doesn't just magically get rid of anxiety, you can't practice your way out of having it. It doesn't always work like that.
Except if you practice speaking in front of other people it will definitely help anxiety
Agreed. I also have really bad anxiety, and in my personal experience I have never been able to "untrain" my anxiety by exposing myself to the thing that makes me anxious. Have I learned more effective ways to behave or cope in those situations? Yes. But the anxiety is still there, and still bad. You can learn how to manage anxiety sometimes by exposing yourself to anxiety-inducing situations, but that doesn't guarantee the anxiety will go away; sometimes, it doesn't even help, or even makes it worse, because you'll vividly remember the situation and start dreading it more.I've talked in front of people lots and been around large crowds of people and it has only just made me hate it more. Might be different for OP but mental illnesses like that aren't as easily fixed.
I freeze up when I have to do things like this. It happened when I was presenting something in front of the class, so it's gonna be 1000x times worse with the whole year group staring at me.
How can the teacher force you?? Choir is extra curriculum and therefore should be optional.

That's not the case for our school. You don't graduate or anything, you just leave with your grades.ok yeah schools are totally different here than other places then. here, choir is a fine arts and you have to have 1 fine arts credit to graduate high school. fine arts includes band (which doubles as gym credit), choir, art, orchestra, drama, dance, and mariachi.
op needs to take this matter to the principle or smth.
Tbh I don't see what the big deal is. I mean yeah it's annoying, but everyone has to do **** they don't want to do sometimes. I had to go to orchestra because I did music GCSE and I just went, and actually ended up quite enjoying it. You might too.
The problem is that it's time-consuming and difficult, and I'll have to do this for the whole school year. Plus, I'm really anxious and having my music teacher stick me on a stage in front of the whole school will not help.
