can i get advice on this map/resetting, please? 😭

hey y'all, so i am currently trying to reset and i need some help!! my brain is turning to mush over staring at this so long.

i found a map fits about 90% of my reset requirements but i'm wondering if the other 10% is a big enough deal to mean i should reset some more. problem is! i don't wanna not be able to find something this good again...lol, bc the layout i like is rare and this is literally the only one of its exact kind i've encountered in 2 days of resetting.

my requirements were:
- largest possible rectangle rock on left beach
- large rock on right beach
- extra/other rocks on beach
- rock in the sea along beach
- back of island with 2+ rock outcroppings
- dynamic/natural shape of beach and land
- lots of sand/rocks around airport
- large river mouths
- big dock
- yellow airport
- R/S far from entrance
- largest possible peninsula
- peaches, apples or pears starter
- any flower except cosmos starter
- starting villagers i don't hate (not sylvia and camogator again lmfao)

it has a blue airport and the second largest peninsula possible.

i settled previously for a blue airport as well, and i'm not that upset about it, but in combo with the peninsula, i'm left unsure. i would love advice from people in general, but especially people that have this peninsula or have seen what people can do with it and can compare it to the larger peninsula

• does one grade of peninsula size actually make that big of a difference (i previously terraformed mine and put a garden/sitting area up there)
• i don't have any overt time restrictions on resetting so is it truly best to keep trying for the ABSOLUTE PERFECT map
• should i relax a bit and take a step back and come back to it later??

I personally don't think it's worth turning your brain to mush to find the ABSOLUTE PERFECT map. Part of the fun is working with what you've got. Like real life, some things are just beyond your control and you can make the whole experience less enjoyable by trying to micromanage every little detail.

Dont have so many requirements, definitely take what you can get because you'll either not get your perfect map, or spend WAY WAY too many hours eventually getting it. I dont see how that's any fun, you know? I've seen other people here drive themselves crazy over it and personally, I dont have such an amount of time on my hands where I could reset so much over a map anyway.

I think it’s a perfectly good lay out! There’s always something unique you can do with any of the layouts, I personally kept the first map I got for no reason other than it had a natural heart pond- so I definitely don’t think you should keep resetting if it’s so close to what you want!! You got this !

My map has many characteristics people reset over. My plaza is steps away from the airport, but I managed to squeeze a decent amount of terraforming in to hide it. People always compliment me on my entrance. My peninsula is tiny but I managed to fit some nice terraforming on there as well. You can make a less than ideal map work for you, and I find that rewarding.

I want to reset but I've made huge adjustments to make this map work.. I'm giving it a shot but at the same time it makes me not want to reset.. what a vicious cycle
