I've been tting for 2 hours in order to get Bones to move out (I want a new villager). So far, all villagers that have pinged me moved in before the update and are therefore not amiibo card villagers. I'm kinda worried that I'll be stuck with the card villagers forever except if I scan another card to kick them out.

That's why I'm asking: Has a villager you got via their amiibo card ever pinged you because they wanted to move?

I had this problem before. You have to move out a villager in order to move out amiibo card villagers. Its like Nintendo wants to be cheap once again and force you to buy cards.

I'm trying to move in all villagers in my 2nd town, but can't until I get all the dreamies that I don't have their amiibo card.
I'm seriously considering restarting rn since I'm not gonna invest in more cards.

Haven't yet either. Which is particularly annoying because then I also think the villager I moved in after kicking one out moved right on top of the old one's house, so if you're trying to move out someone due to location this might be a problem.

Okay. If you want, you can get all your villagers that you don't have their cards first, then move them in from their cards after you get the ones you don't have their card.

The problem is that I like to change my villagers frequently.

If that's so then you shouldn't use amiibo card s because they're not going anywhere quick. The game assumes you want that villager since you imported it from the card so it makes it harder for them to leave. They still can just very very rare.

It's not impossible. I've had amiibo villagers ping to move while non-amiibo villagers still lived in my town. But by all accounts, it is less common.

6 for me. :(

Would you restart at this point? :'/ I'd personally have quite a hoard of rares to store in my brother's town first, but I dislike how I can be right up in the villagers' face for 20+ cycle attempts and they stare at me like I'm crazy or something.

Keeping rares wouldn't be a problem for me either since I have a 2nd town, but getting all the stores to open again, getting villagers without using the cards, get villagers to request PWPs, ect. would be a hassle to go through again. But yeah, maybe.

I think reopening the stores would be fun. If you sell your town you get to keep the PWPs, which I never got many anyway. The only real trouble would be re-obtaining villagers, which I guess would be easy if you had the TBT and someone with the cards you needed. ;3;

Wow, really? Didn't know you could keep the PWPs! Thanks for the info! ;)

Yeah, the only ones that don't stay are the ones that have specific unlock requirements - so the renovations, the flower clock, and the shops, basically. I do still have the topiaries, though.
