Camper Cycling with my Mayor?

I've been cycling campers by creating a new character, but I've been wondering if I could do the same thing with my mayor. If I TT to a new day, go on w/ my mayor, check the campsite, quit without saving (if there is no camper/I don't like the camper), and then restart, will new campers be generated in the same way? Sorry if this is confusing, and thanks!

If you load the game up with the mayor, the day will always stay the same. You have to load up a new character to reload the day, it doesn't work with the mayor.

I don't think so, because by loading your mayor or any existing characters, your town is set beforehand (when Isabelle tells you she's preparing the town and you have to wait). During this, special visitors/campers are rolled. If you load your mayor and don't see a camper, there won't be a camper there no matter how much you quit.

no, the game saves when you open up an already existing character. so even if you quit without saving, you will have saved once and the camper will not change unless you go to another day.
