I know this won't happen, but I would kill for an MK8 villager plush. I can understand why there isn't one yet, but if one were to ever happen i'll pick it up as soon as I can.

But of course, if they do this, you realize its likely they'll do Nook/Isabelle and that's it?

Definitely Pietro! He's iconic and I would buy his plushie in an instant.

Someone like Maple would be an obvious villager choice, because she's relatively popular but is a bear cub so would probably go well with build a bear.
I'd also love Flora & Hopper though

Nintendo made them only sell their Pokemon plush in "bundles" unless bought in the store... So the average price of the Pokemon on their own are usually around 30-35 USD before extras if you buy in store.

TIL build-a-bear has pokemon plushies. They don't look as good as the ones TPC sells. Also, $61 is an outrageous price, but it's probably because of the quality of material they use.

This is actually probably true unless the line gets really popular going off how BAB has done Pokemon. But the price is because of Nintendo making BAB sell them online only in pre-stuffed bundles that doubles the price. I'm not sure why, but Nintendo apparently has demanded they do not sell Pokemon unstuffed and that online sales must be in bundles...
