I'm a bug person, I just enjoy chasing the butterflies, and knowing what I am catching when I am looking for something in particular. Fishing is second for me, as diving feels like a lot more work for me as I have to get my wetsuit specifically to do it.
Even though I hate bugs in real life, I enjoy catching bugs in AC the best because you can see exactly what it is you are catching in front of your face. Fishing would be second because it is exciting to catch sharks, and then Diving would be last for me because I get the most repeats/ts hardest for me.
I think the diving is great. In my opinion it's better than the diving in New Leaf. And I find it the easiest way to earn more bells at a time. Plus you don't have to worry about your wetsuit breaking like the tools for fishing and catching bugs. @.@
I like diving best because it allows me to see my island from a different perspective! I also really like to catch bugs but I find I fish the least lately. I do enjoy all three, though!
I enjoy fishing the most at the moment, catching bugs became a bit too annoying for me after a while and diving would be more fun if I actually find some sea creatures which I don't have yet (or pearls, why do I not find any pearls ).
I like fishing the most and after that I’d pick bug catching even though I hate bugs (I love the butterfly models and some of the stag models, enough said ); chasing the bug down and swooping the net down is pretty exciting for me. I think I liked diving more in NL. I feel like diving takes way longer in NH. I do love the vampire squids though and the crabs and would love models of them all.
I like them all, but bug catching can be most frustrating. It doesn't have any sort of bait equivalent to make things more likely to spawn. You sometimes have to do things like going on NMT islands to force more likely spawns for things. That doesn't help you very much for the super rare stuff like cicada shells though. You just have to be really lucky.
I prefer bug catching because of how quickly you can catch them depending on what bug it is. As for fishing, it's a little bit of a pain to get the positioning right, ESPECIALLY when they decide to face the other direction as soon as you cast your line.
Fishing and catching bugs are the most enjoyable for me, personally. As for diving, I often ask myself the question, "Is it really worth mashing the A button for 10 minutes straight to try and catch a unnaturally fast giant clam?" Now that is a question Pascal should be pondering if you ask me.
Fishing! I find fishing the most profitable and most fun activity. Bug catching is good too. I cannot stand diving though, I haven't even bought a wet suit yet,,,but I guess I need one eventually to complete the critterpedia.
