Bit of excitement for a rainy Saturday afternoon

it's fun. i like the change they did. the 3 minute time limit to collect more is more fun to me than being able to catch the biggest one. now i'm not sure if it will change on next bug off's (or fishing tourney), but i know they got rid of fish / bug sizes so probably won't come back.
the long dialogue is so annoying though. good thing C.J. and flick are both adorable.

I'm pleasantly surprised as to how fun it can be catching bugs! Optimizing my path to find them, catching a bug as soon as the match starts, seeing the counter go up, and selling bugs at a higher price to Flick is wonderful! At least you won't be able to cheese the bug-off in this game as you actually have to work towards getting the prizes. I probably played in the last hour and a half only catching bugs lol.

Anyway, I kinda completely forgot to do the bug off I do think the new way of doing it is a lot better though, because I used to just hoard large bugs for the bug off in older games...

same, except im not getting them for a holiday but for my creepy basement. ive only gotten one so far; i keep getting umbrellas & backpacks!!!

i rly like the way the Bug Off works in this game!! it's rly fun and actually feels like a challenge. i also like how i can keep getting multiple prizes just bc it looks at total caught instead of biggest size (there comes a point where u cant find a bigger bug u know?). the prizes are all really nice and i can see myself using all of them at some points (especially the spider webs & toy bugs).

tho ive gotten everything already, the event isnt over for me yet. i have to pay off my house at some point, so i think im gonna keep playing for duplicate prizes and bells till 6pm. 10/10 excited to play it again

Played for close to an hour by myself, then invited my sister over so that I could help her get enough points to collect all the items. The bug off was always more fun for me than the fishing tourney, but I really had a blast with this. Doesn't hurt that Flick is buying those bugs off you (got a lot of rare spawns today). Probably my favorite event thus far.

i completed it, too! only got up to the silver trophy as i like how that one looks compared to the gold one but this was fun! definitely more enjoyable for me than the fishing tourney was aha ;u;

The event was good though.
