I know that in general, bugs aren't very popular. It is common that people are afraid of bugs or a bug of some kind for one reason or another, bad experience , certain features , reminders of decay .

But I wanted to know what are some of your favorite bugs, or most tolerable bugs?
(Something cute, pretty, kind, useful, or fascinating?)

Have your opinion about any certain bug changed after learning more about it?

Are there any bugs that you appreciate existing even if you dont particularly like the bug?

Have you eaten a bug or is there a bug you would consider trying?
Also, do you consider a mudbug (crawfish/crawdad) a bug or more of a fish creature like a crab?

And lastly, is there anything you would write to Blathers about regarding bugs and his fears/anxiety?

I really like jumping spiders! But I’d stay away from spiders and just watch them from a safe distance, only to interact if needed. Like move a harmless one to a safer place or kill a harmful/potentially harmful one

I wouldn’t really purposely touch any bug, I suppose, unless I had to, and just get it to crawl on something or use a bug catcher if needed.

But I really hate snail poison! I know not many would care, but I think it’s wrong. They are harmless and all they want to do is survive, they don’t know you don’t want them munching on your plants, they don’t know they even belong to anyone!

While ants are somewhat brats. Honestly, in ACNH when I showed Blathers an ant, he said a lot more nicer things about it that what I would have.

I like spiders, and we have tons of them where I live. I read a book called "Be Nice to Spiders" as a kid and it always stuck with me that spiders are useful and good to have around.

I also like bugs that eat garden pests, like ladybugs and lacewings. I like some wasps for the same reason and because i have fig trees.

Oh- and i like carpenter bees! They hang out on the deck and chase the stinging wasps away. They kind of hover and follow people around when they're in the area. It's funny.

I like to eat crawfish, so i tend to think of them as seafood.

I have eaten roly poly bugs before, but i was a really, really small child. Would not repeat today.

I would maybe give blathers the Be Nice to Spiders book. Show how there are some really pretty spiders that keep away pesky bugs like flies, lol.

i love millipedes !! theyre so cute and round looking.. they take care of decaying plants , and they movement of their legs is so mesmerizing..!! i also like cicadas and all kinds of caterpillars !

Jumping spiders are cute, I also like the Rosy maple moth a lot. It's like it was saying "I'm the prince of darkness! " looking like a candy. Luna moth is beautiful too. Lady bugs are useful, bumble bees are adorable little pandas. Some woods spider look like candy canes.

Crawfish are more in the crustacean category.

I love . My parents took me to a museum that had a butterfly area with live butterflies..

I cannot stand spiders or snakes.... my grandpa killed one snake that wasn't far from me. Even had a rattlesnake almost bit my dog had I not pay attention to her

I'm usually pretty scared of bugs in person, even ladybirds when they suddenly take off flying

Spiders are a big nuh uh, I'm actually terrified of them, and the spiders here aren't even dangerous. One night I was on my phone in my room and the only light was from my phone screen, and suddenly a spider lowers itself from the ceiling and hangs right in front of my face and tries to land on my phone. I ran to turn on the light but then I just sat still in fear for a good few minutes - possibly even ten? Lol - staring at the spider as it went back up its web to the ceiling

I don't know actually! I just remember thinking the colors looked so cool and had to take a picture of it. I am a bit sad since I had so many better ones and now that folder is gone. Hopefully I backed it up somewhere else.

I have one of a huge wolfspider I found and thought was cool, but I'll save you all from seeing it. Since a lot of folk have arachnophobia and I don't want to upset anyone.

I actually looked that up. Is what the first picture is Rosy Maple Moth (Dryocampa rubicunda)

Thank you for your prudence in showing photos of spiders I feel like it would be okay as long as you put it in a spoiler box in a spoiler box (just to be doubly sure) so that you can share it and only those who want to see it will

Against my better judgement I just looked up "wolfspider" to see what their description is, but my browser has betrayed me and for some reason is showing photos in the general search option so now I've been scarred /hj

Bugs are pretty cool so long as they're not crawling on you/your food or being where they have not been invited. I think butterflies and moths are so pretty and fun to see! I also love beetles because of Animal Crossing. Praying Mantises are neat, if I could have an Orchid Mantis as a pet I would definitely be tempted. Crickets and grasshoppers are kinda soothing. Ant farms are intriguing. Spiders are neat when they're chilling on their webs outside.

Just before New Years I saw this guy chilling on the door screen. I opened the door to take a pic of him and he turned his little head to make direct eye contact with me!

Also, jumping spiders.. One time I saw a little jumping spider on the window and I traced my finger around him and he followed it, spinning around.. makes me feel bad for all the trespassing spiders I have killed!
