The Switch doesn't have a microphone, AFAIK, so maybe an app to ping them would be better option.

Why, though? Redd is always in the exact same location. We just need to check the map and you'll see his icon in the beach.

Also, as for the other NPC's, isn't the whole point to explore a bit? It's not like island are too big.
