Bought Blue Roses, now confused...

Ok so, I bought some blue roses off someone like a week ago but I can’t get them to reproduce. Am I just getting unlucky, can blues not breed with other blues, or something else? Can anyone please help?? •́ε•̀٥

Blues can definitely breed with other blues, once I finally got mine to produce a 3rd one they started spawning like crazy! It did take a while though, idk if they take longer or if we both just got unlucky. But keep trying and you'll get some more to grow!

I don't know about blue roses specifically, but I know that when it came to purple hyacinths it took AGES for the first to show up. I passed so many days without even one spawning that I thought I must have been wrong about what it took to breed them. Then I got my first few and now my town has been overrun by them. How many blue roses do you have to work with? I had like an entire screen of orange hyacinths set up and still, for ages I got nothing. You might just have been unlucky so far.

i would suggest having a friend of yours water them for you! sounds crazy but a friend and i tried watering each other’s plants and it produced way more hybrids/new flowers in general than if we’d watered our own.

I saw a guide that says it can take up to a week for them to start breeding.

You're doing fine, just keep watering them! it took ages for my two purple hyacinths to spawn a third one :')
heck, I even have trouble having basic color flowers to propagate lol. I guess it's just random

i tried forever to get my hybrid reds to breed but i finally gave up and just bought the blues i needed for my garden from someone today

Like what the others said but also talk to them lovingly.

they can breed with other blues, it's the fastest way to get them. they spawn like crazy actually, like in new leaf. it could take time but once they spawn, they'll keep appearing.

i also suggest having a friend water for you. i saw a video guide of it on youtube and i guess it works.

it's hopefully just bad luck, but if the mechanics are anything like new leaf, hacked in blue roses won't be able to breed
