Bought a second game!

I bought a second game just now and the town map is really nice...both slopes to the beaches are vertical, native fruit is apples and I have...Stitches! First try!

But I have Tiffany, Annalisa, Snake and Felicity. Do you think I should keep?

Named my town San Fran by the way, Mayor Lily :3

Yes! Felicity is underrated and I've seen posts interested in Snake recently.

If you like the layout of the rest of your town, then yes. If your river is very winding and would make it difficult to place PWP's or you have too many ponds for PWP's...or something like that, then I would consider resetting again (almost) no matter who I got.

But it sounds like you are happy! I hope you absolutely love your new town!

Hm...There are three ponds all above the river, the town hall is in the middle...and the plaza and retail are off to the left above the river. Maybe I should post a picture if that would help? I feel like the three ponds would be in the way, they're all in the same area, close to each other

That would help if you posted a picture. I am BAD at town planning, but I think I can at least tell if a layout has enough space for the PWP's I want. To me, that is the most important thing. One map I had was so bad that my super-winding river and 4 or so ponds were in the way and I could hardly place anything. It was so frustrating!

Hah! I'm being out-ruled here for opinions! Mind you, I'm NOT saying to reset, I just want to make sure that you don't go thru a lot of work just to find out (like I did and probably countless other players) that your town layout stinks and you end up unhappy with it. If that happens, you'll grow to hate your town like I did mine, hence my working for a reset despite lots of hours and hard work!

Great villagers really help, but I wouldn't toss aside the idea of the right layout for you and your vision for your town.

My main town layout is slightly awful...My best friend convinced me to buy the game and started it for me (since she had already been playing for a few days) xD So I had no say in the layout or villagers!

That's not the worst layout, imo. The river is not too winding, and you could get by with only one more bridge. Also, having your plaza, Re-Tail, and 2 ponds together takes up a lot of room, but it also leaves room for PWP's elsewhere. You will have more houses coming in, and the towns are too small anyway, imo, but this doesn't look like a terribly bad layout at all. I have one that's better in one of my towns because there are only 2 ponds, my river pretty much cuts the map in half, and the plaza, Re-Tail, and station are all at the top. I do wish the pond below the station wasn't there, tho. But we can't have everything!

So, I don't think you're doing badly with this one. Besides, you got villagers you like and others would kill for, and part of the fun is a bit of challenge, right?

IMO...you're all right with this one. Could it be better? Certainly! But it could also be MUCH worse. You're in the middle, so I'd say you're all right.

I do like the layout of course! But not the town hall being at the bottom or the 3 ponds. And I don't really LIKE the villagers, I would just trade Stitches for dreamies xD But I do like it. Hm..I'm not sure WHAT to do! Keep and see who moves in? Or restart are hope for better villagers I do like?

I think I may restart. The layout is awesome, but I want to start with villagers that I want to keep. Keeping the mayor name and town name (I don't like my own name for the mayor..Jordan lol) so here goes nothing ^^ fingers crossed, I'll post again who I get the second time :3

Please do! I'm really interested in what and who you'll end up liking better.

And yes, ponds are sometimes nice, but sometimes when you have more than one they are a pain. And if you have a rock near any one of them...ARGH!

Ah, I forgot to post! I've just been resetting til I get at least two villagers I wouldn't mind having ^^ (although one layout was perfect, I didn't like any villagers)

Right after my first restart I did get Bam and Diana...but I want villagers I don't already have in my main town ;w; I do miss having Bam though.

Decided I might as well do my real name so it'll be Jordan from San Fran. Working on another reset <3 Last one had Freya Dx

If you have an excess of ponds I've found that planting lilies around them makes them look a hundred times nicer.

Good luck with the resetting. I can't imagine how tiresome that can be.

To find villagers you like plus a fruit you want or the Re-Tail where you want (or at least reasonably so) it is VERY frustrating! I only reset one of my towns before and am still prepping for my Main Town reset. I'm both looking forward to and dreading it.

Just got a map with one pond, vertical slopes, Not a bad river...and Merengue :3 Also have Bunnie, Del, Purrl and Pudge and cherries as the fruit. I'm liking this one...But I loved the map I had a few resets ago...it was like the river curled around and mad two perfect spots to make a house, almost like a private island with water on all three sides and of course the other side leading to the rest of the town x.x

Eh, I checked it again, it was actually not that great Dx one slope was vertical. Plus I have Merengue in my main I'm gonna trade later. I wanna aim for Marshal as my starting!

I almost wanna name my town Panem too lol

Lol! Yeah...don't go so fast you get something you love only to see that you spelled your name wrong or something! Please keep us updated. Having Merangue to trade is a nice thing to have. I hope you get that perfect layout soon.

You cant get Marshal as a starter..
Just reset for him the day after.. when Smugs are being sent into your town
thats what i did to get him, only took 30 mins of plot resetting
