Blathers not mentioning anything about art??

So I spoke to Blathers but he's not talking about how he's interested in fine art. This is what triggers Redd appearing, isn't it? Did I had to speak to Blathers on the day of the update? Or do I need to donate more specimens to the museum before I can unlock the art gallery?

How much have you donated? It's believed you have to have donated 60 items between all three sections combined together before he'll mention it.
