Best Hybrid Method?

My hybrids arent spawning! ive only got one pink tulip and ive put jacobs ladders and fertilizers near them and still nothing! heres a layout of my setup!

Keep in mind each row is seperated by 1 so the hybrids have room to spawn!
am I doing something wrong??

I usually put flowers 2 by 2 and separated from the rest at the beach. For example, to get orange tulips I get a yellow and a red one diagonally separated by 1 space and plant a fertilizer nearby. I think planting them diagonally and not next to each other is better, that's how I got my blue pansies and orange cosmos.

I find that only water 4 flowers (2 sets) gives a higher chance of a hybrid spawning. But I don't know. maybe it's just me.

I got online today and got a pink cosmos, rose and orange pansies! I moved them and watered them! so both of your suggestions really helped! thank you!!
