I am just curious as to the math behind how points are received on the Bell Tree Forums. I know general activity awards points, and editing posts penalizes you by taking them.

It's really a shame, because I maintain a sticky thread and edit it to update and keep it accurate, but I am penalized for doing so. I wish there was a way to get my points back because I'm doing a service and losing points at the same time.

Anyway, does anyone know the amount of points per....everything.

I think I saw one of the mods around here say that they recaculate how many points you get when you edit, but don't quote me on that.
Amount of coins? Depends how long your posts are, I think.

That wouldn't make sense because I add content but lose points.

You only lose TBT bells if you edit a post to make it smaller than the original post. Uploading an image costs 2 bells, but other than than, you can't lose bells from posting :D
