Backdrop Variations for Celebrating Diversity 🏳‍🌈

Hiiiii! This one's just a minor update to communicate some scheduling stuff!
i'm writing a post at 8am after not getting home until midnight and sleeping at 2am what could possibly go wrong

I was hoping to get some drafts done this weekend, but I don't think that'll actually be possible for the most part - I sort of need today to rest (mentally and physically - I've been almost constantly out or working on things this whole week, so uh... I think I'll crash and burn if I don't. Also I might destroy my hand if I draw today.) And I realized Mother's Day is tomorrow (for Canada at least) which sort of threw a huge wrench into my plans o(￣┰￣*)ゞ;;;

To be honest, I was really hoping I could get some done and post them this week, just so I have time to make revisions in case I do something stupid, but... we might just have to go with my first drafts for whatever I can get done. So if I do make a mistake in a backdrop, I'm so sorry in advance! I might be able to fix things, but I probably will not!

With that said, a few things that I do want to note:

• I will be making and posting drafts of the rainbow infinity backdrop tomorrow! This one's the one that I know I'll need feedback on to revise - I think the majority of comments here wanted a rainbow backdrop + rainbow infinity, but with concerns about readability and whatnot. I also realized I don't know where to place the infinity... so... definitely need you all to look at my drafts!
• I will be making an anonymous form tomorrow! This will just be a general one: people can suggest additional flags there, give feedback or commentary, and so on. More on this tomorrow, though.
  I am a bit hesitant because I was on tumblr during Peak Tumblr Era so I'm sort of like... always very conscious of the fact that people can just abuse anonymous feedback. But I also love anonymous feedback and think it makes communication more accessible, especially for those who are anxious. I'll just be operating on a trust system here, essentially, and it'll only be open for 1 week anyhow.

As for the other backdrops, I'm going to be trying to get as many of them done as I can next weekend (largely on the 18th - I have 5 hours blocked off to work on them then, assuming nothing comes up.) But for full transparency sake, I'm going to be working on them in a certain order:

1. Backdrops that are just colours (since they're the fastest for me to get done)
2. Backdrops with simple shapes (e.g. all of the ones with triangles in them, Polyamorous)
3. Backdrops with single (but more complicated) symbols (e.g. two-spirit)
4. Backdrops with more symbols or more complicated symbols

My goal is to get as many done as I can, so I think I have to do them in this order - which isn't great, but... hopefully it's understandable! I have to make both vertical + mobile versions for all of the backdrops, so uh... trying to get some of these nicely formatted for both versions is a bit of a struggle.

I'm very very sorry if I don't get to a backdrop that was requested! I will be trying still, and maybe I'll get more done for next year or something!

I'll probably post whatever I can on the 18th in the evening, and if there's like small fixes that are needed, I might be able to get them done on the 19th. I have like a tiny tiny amount of time on that day where I might be able to work on things, so...
i have never been more grateful for victoria day being a holiday in my life. i have a lot of stuff i need to finish and also need to pack and a lot of that is probably going to be forced to happen on the 19th. if i had to work that day i would probably die.

As requested, a place for people to submit things anonymously! Rather than limiting it to specific topics, I'll be opening it to anything relevant to this thread. I think that's the simplest choice, and it also allows people to submit variation suggestions without feeling like they're outing themselves if they're not comfortable doing so.

Anything that you might want to say in relation to the thread may be mentioned there, and we will take it into consideration in the same way!

♾ Neurodivergent backdrop drafts
After fiddling with positioning and whatnot for a while, I've made 3 drafts of the backdrops. I think most people favoured the rainbow infinity on the rainbow backdrop, and I think it works fairly well, too! I just used the regular rainbow backdrop for this, but there are 3 variations based on luminosity.

A few notes:

• I may make minor adjustments (e.g. texturing, colour adjustments, especially for the infinity to make it better match the rest of the backdrop.)
• I'll make and post mobile versions after a decision has been made!
• I've included previews, but there will probably be a white glow around the text for readability!
  I just... don't remember the parameters for that.

Also, I would like to say that making a nice infinity is hard... until you realize you can just use the symmetry tool.
I might have spent like 15 minutes trying to carefully freehand it and clean it before realizing that.

oh my gosh the infinity looks so beautiful and amazing ahhhh!!!!! and all the variations of the draft look really good but if I had to choose one, it’d be the regular one! Again, this means so much and just, thank you!! very much looking forward to displaying the backdrop when the time comes also looking forward to what else you’ll make, implement etc, thank you for all you do!!

we really don’t use and praise the symmetry tool enough!

The lighter shade is better, it makes it easier to see user's short profiles on the left side when viewing forum threads.
