August 17th Bug Off!

How has everyone done / how're you doing in today's bug off?

It's just after 6pm here (GMT) and I won with a birdwing butterfly worth 107 points.

I love how my villagers have lined themselves up!​

I caught a fair few beetles on the island last night and used them to get the last 4 pieces of bug furnitue I needed. ^_^
Ended with a Hercules worth 127 points.

My first ever Bug Off since I got the game, I came first!

I won with a Cyclommatus stag, 113 points.

I totally forgot until I came on at 5pm today. I was close to coming like third until I finally caught a huge dragonfly, phew. Shari came second and Kid Cat third! Yay

I won Lopez was second & Muffy was third
funny because yesterday Willow was bragging about being the smartest and fastest sheep in town yet shes there with Vesta clapping for Muffy in the tent, and didnt win haha

Prince turned in a Birdwing worth 120 and messed up my chances of getting my last two pieces of furniture - the caterpillar couch and honeycomb chest. Not even 7 Golden Stags and Horned Hercules could beat him. I had on Golden Stag that came in at 132 points. So bummed out I'm not going to complete the set after I tried so hard all three months.

I haven't checked the results yet, but last time I checked I was winning with a horned atlas worth 120 points ^^

I got 1st place with a peacock butterfly worth 80 points my first gold trophy!

I'm on EST, so I still have a bunch of time left. I still have about five Horned Elephants and four or so Golden Stags and Horned Hercules, and I'm already in the lead with an Agrias Butterfly at 97 points.

I still had to get 6 of the Insect Series since this is only the second Bug-Off I participated in. I got super lucky today when it came to getting these pieces. I turned in four insects that were counted as 84, 86, 87, and 92 respectively, and then I got the 97, so I only have one more piece to go! I'll probably just turn in one of my last insects and call it a day. Much better than last time, when I skipped straight from 30 points to 99 points with an Agrias Butterfly.

I've got a lot of time before it ends, but I've already made my submissions since I'll be busy the rest of the day. I'm currently in first with a Horned Hercules I had chilling out in my island basket worth 97 points. I managed to snag a few extra pieces of furniture by submitting a darner dragonfly and Raja Brooke butterfly that I caught on the way to the tent.

I won with a Horned Hercules that was worth 134 points because of its exquisite colours. Wendy was in second place and Lucha in third.

The first fishing tournament isn't until October 12th, so you've a bit of a wait!

As far as wolves are concerned, I also have Whitney. I had Chief until a few days ago too, but I traded him to someone.

I came first with a Goliath beetle worth 121 points, I entered my horned Hercules but only got 81 points for it :/

This was actually my first Bug Off! I missed the first one since I got my game. Won with a golden stag I had sitting in my house.

First place again with a Banded Dragonfly worth 86 points... its like my villagers never try, last time I won first place with a Bee... A BEE!

I turned in a golden for something like 147 points (it was large for its species and was excellent in the coloring category). I still need to get two pieces of my insect set, but I figure I'll get them in the September Bug Off. I did get an extra caterpillar sofa if someone wants to trade for one of those two pieces...unfortunately, I can't remember what they are and I'm working at a tractor show right now, so don't really want to look. I can look later, though.

Edit to add: ok, so I looked it up and I am missing the beetle chair and the spiderweb clock. I don't know when I'll be able to get on, but will be happy to make a trade with the caterpillar sofa.
