aa thank you!! the main thing that inspired her appearance was an outfit that i made for last year’s tbt fair! i really liked the outfit, but not enough to have my island rep wear it instead, and so since i wasn’t fond of juniper’s design at that point, i gave it to her and the rest of her just fell into place after that aha. the vibrancy of the yellow/gold on her dress played a part in determining the rest of her appearance (eye colour, hair colour, skin tone, etc) but otherwise, i just wanted her to be as vibrant and unique as possible, if that makes sense . also sorry for taking forever to reply to this LOL.

hi, dun! i’m doing okay - today’s been a good day so far, so i’m happy! kitty’s doing okay as well; she’s out of her meds, though and we’re waiting to hear back from the vet about a refill, but other than that she’s fine! hope you’re doing well, too.

my bisexual self would very much like to leave it at “her appearance” she’s so pretty LOL, but i don’t want to objectify her so my favourite thing about her is probably her personality! she’s done a lot of messed up stuff that i’m not condoning at all, but i think it’s sort of admirable that she doesn’t care what anyone else thinks of her. crimes aside, she’s always been unapologetically herself and i aspire to be like that one day as well. i also love how nonjudgmental she is; she interacts with everyone no matter their gender, race, sexuality, etc and i really wish that all of society was like that. :/

2. Do you have any fun plans for the rest of the summer? If so what do you have planned if you don’t mind me asking?

not at the moment, no. i honestly never have any summer plans besides just relaxing and focusing on my mental health. this summer probably won’t be any different, but if the pandemic situation improves any, i may try to go out and i’ll be participating in all of tbt’s upcoming summer events as well! but other than that, i’ll just be vibing.

3. Any idea what your dream job is?

for the longest time, my dream job was to be an author as i love writing - it’s been therapeutic for me for as long as i can remember, and making a career out of it even if it wasn’t a freelance one sounded amazing. but now, while i still love writing and use it as a sort of therapy, i’m maybe thinking that i want to pursue a career that involves working with animals. not a vet, though, since having to euthanize an animal would absolutely devastate me, but being a pet groomer or working in a pet store again could be fun, i think. :’o

hellooooo!!! i’m doing pretty good, man! i’m on spring break this week, so i’ve just been relaxing and focusing my time on my hobbies and interests (while neglecting my english assignment that’s due on monday, but oh well xjdkdn) and am feeling pretty decent mentally!! how are you!!

I have this one burning question

xjjxkndo it’s a meme, i think. i truthfully don’t know much about it myself. i don’t know if it’s an edit or if it came from some... cursed episode of sesame street, but i found the dress design on tiktok while looking for a new outfit for my island rep, and uh... fell in love with it, for some reason LOL. i mainly kept it for all the reactions it got and how recognizable my island rep became around the forums, but i still lowkey think it’s the most iconic outfit i’ll ever come up with.

hm. i think the main thing i've always loved about living here is the free healthcare. sure, it’s not great and the waiting times are horrendous, but at least it hasn’t put me into hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt, y’know? i wish all countries offered free healthcare.

...plus, we have coffee crisp and kinder surprise eggs here.

my least favourite thing is the fact i’ve lived here in the same country, the same province, even the same city, my whole life. there are certainly worse places that i could be living, but i’m ready for change — even just moving to a new city would be great lol.

doug ford and stephen lecce are also, uh… not great lol.

i’d say my favourite flower is a tulip, but i’ve also always really liked roses, carnations, sunflowers and of course, bellflowers lol!

Changing cities can be a good experience! I moved out of my hometown almost a year ago. The only downsides to it is having to meet new people and try to make new friends, which is something I haven’t really achieved yet haha. I’m not a social person so it doesn’t really bother me. i feel you! free healthcare definitely isn’t always great healthcare, but at least we have access to it. i was really sorry to hear that you broke your leg and required surgery, by the way; i can only imagine how painful that’s been. i’m glad you’re getting your cast off soon, though! i hope your recovery continues to go well and that walking around again when you’re able to won’t be too bad or painful!

getting to meet new people would actually be one of the upsides to moving for me. i have so many bad memories of the friends i’ve had here and am always afraid of running into them whenever i go out, so i’m definitely ready to get away from that lol. i feel like my social life and the quality of the people i know would improve drastically if i moved, if that makes sense.

i honestly don’t really play acnh all that much anymore. i’ll boot the game up once or twice a week, or every couple weeks, but that’s about it. i’m really hoping to get back into it eventually, but i sadly don’t see that happening anytime soon since depression and burnout have made playing feel like a chore to me. as for my island, it is not complete at all. even when i played daily and loved it, i’ve avoided decorating, landscaping and terraforming my island because i always wind up comparing what i do to what other people have done, and that makes me feel like ****. plus, i honestly just never have the energy for it lol; i prefer to focus on completing my catalog and all nook mile achievements, as well as meeting as many villagers as possible and obtaining their photos/posters. at the moment, i only have 2 completed areas on my island — my yard and my celestial lounge area, and i actually really like them!! they may get moved if i ever decide to give terraforming a go, but i likely won’t change anything about their actual designs — i like them just the way they are. :’)

I can totally get not having the motivation or energy to decorate Xara. I felt that throughout this whole pandemic because when I wasn't working my insane hours, I was just too worn out to want to do much, let alone log on and be forced to use one of the few decorating options. I'm kind of getting back into it now that it isn't so restrictive with the creative flow, but it would had helped if it was a choice they gave us day 1 launchers from the getgo.

yeah, it’s unfortunately been confirmed that switch sports won’t work on the lite. the game apparently requires motion controls and detachable joycons, which the lite doesn’t have. it sucks, but i’m glad i found out before purchasing or preordering. that would’ve been a huge waste of money lol.

hm, that’s interesting! i just did a bit of research, and they do still appear to be banned. maybe you’re seeing kinder joy eggs, instead of the surprise ones? the joy ones are apparently allowed since the toy and the chocolate egg are separated, instead of the toy being inside the egg like with kinder surprise.

for once, i actually do have some plans for the summer! i haven’t given them too much thought, and they’re of course not set in stone, but my mom and i were thinking of getting season passes and going to canada’s wonderland! neither of us have been there since i was in elementary school (which was a long ass time ago lol), so i’m pretty excited for that! we might also take a trip to the toronto zoo.

That's fair enough about wanting to meet new people. It's almost nice to be living in a city where no one knows me, so I don't have the fear of running into someone I don't want to see lol. It feels like a fresh start. The people I've met in my new city have been just as supportive, if not more, than what I had in my hometown which has been really awesome.

I totally feel you with acnh! I went on a nearly 1.5 year hiatus from it when I didn't touch it at all. Not for events, updates or anything lol. I didn't know what I wanted to do with my island and I was overwhelmed by all the amazing things I'd see others do. I also compare my stuff to others and it makes me feel sad lol. I only got back into it recently as it was a game I could play offline while in hospital. Ever since then I've been re-addicted to it and gone from less than 10% completion to about 60% completion when it comes to my island! I did the same with New Leaf; I took a prolonged break then went really hard really fast with making my town complete lol. I think it's just how I work I'm glad you've got some areas that you really like on your island! That's always a good start ^^
