not sure. i dont give anything until they give me something first and i dont continue giving unless i feel like its a person who i know will stick with me for awhile. i dont like wasting my money for people if the gift is just going to go in vain
now that I have more money than I used to, I really like buying gifts for my family, specially at christmas and birthdays, I love having the money to finally treat them like i always wanted to, and paying for meals etc. but I do accept gifts/help too, it's rude not to and also it's nice to get a gift and things? so maybe pretty equal, or more of a giver now, but I like it that way.
I guess when I was younger I was more of a receiver, but with age (and money) I've come to be more aware of the people around me and thus a giver. For example, my family is really big on holiday cards so a year ago I started sending them out for all the big holidays. They were so happy when I started doing that so I do it all the time now. I really do like giving people things that they enjoy.
I am a receiver, but I'm working towards changing that. Mainly, I'm afraid of screwing things up, so I never try to give anything for fear of messing things up and giving someone something they don't like.
Essentially, anxiety prevents me from being a good person.
don't give or receive gifts often so uh idk when it comes to that but w, like giving or getting in friendships and such i'm more of a giver. it depends tho, in most of my friendships i think we're being rly equal. but in some situations i get extremely uncomfortable and don't interact outwards so then i guess i'm receiving more than i'm giving even though i don't want anything? lol
